Got a trade here I'm not sure to accept the deal or not...

Staters:
QB - Philip Rivers
RB - Michael Turner
RB - Beanie Wells
WR - Vincent Jackson
WR - Brandon Lloyd
TE - Zach Miller
OP - Steve Johnson
D/ST - Chicago
K - Mason Crosby
-----------------------------
Bench:
QB - Matt Ryan
RB - Brandon Jacobs
RB - James Starks
RB - Ricky Williams
WR - Santana Moss
WR - Lee Evans
TE - Brent Celek
----------------------------
The Trade Offered:
I get -
QB - Kerry Collins
RB - Maurice Jones-Drew
WR - Miles Austin
TE - Kellen Winslow

I give up -
QB - Matt Ryan
RB - James Starks
WR - Brandon Lloyd
TE - Brent Celek

I'm leaning toward no, with the thinking of keeping Ryan so my opposition cannot use him against me...thoughts?

unless you have Lloyd way higher than Austin (I dont) then do it.

You will never start Ryan over P.Riv, MJD could be a top 5 RB, Austin could be a top 10 WR, and I fucking hate god damn Tom Celek

Yeah I would do it. The best part about having a great #2 qb is trade bait. It's not a slam dunk deal, but your team does improve.

Rivers
MJD
Turner
VJackson
MilesAustin

That is a sick lineup.

^^^how big is the league? If only 10 or 12 teams I'd definitely do that deal in a heart beat as you can use Collins or likely find a better replacement on the waiver wire if Rivers were to get injured.

May be over thinking here, but with all the injuries to the giants defense, would Tim Hightower be a better play than Michael Turner (Bears) this week?

^Im wondering the same thing though in your situation I would play Turner unless its PPR. The Falcons are a run first team and the Redskins will most likely have to abandon the run once they fall behind.

Im expecting the Giants to run on the Redskins especially considering how poorly Eli played in the preseason. At the same time I expect the Giants to put up points and the Redskins have to play catchup. So my question is Hightower over Manningham in a PPR league?

I'm still really debating Moreno vs a weak Oakland or Mendenhall vs a strong Baltimore- I'm currently starting mendenhall, but I'm really on the fence

Miles Austin isn't 100% and is going against the Jets.

My two bench WRs are Hines Ward and Lee Evans (playing each other). Am I over thinking it to consider not playing Austin in favor of one of the other two?

^^ I'd go with Moreno.

^ That matchup would make me nervous too. But more than likely Revis will be on Dez Bryant, as I believe the Jets like to man him up on the other teams #2 a lot to completely eliminate that threat. May be wrong as I'm not a jets fan, but I'd play him over Hines or Evans.

Pick 2:

Mike Wallace v Baltimore
Reggie Wayne v Houston
Brandon Marshall v NE

^Wallace and Marshall. The Dolphins will be playing from behind all day and Marshall is finally 100%

Need 3
AP (of course)
Ahmad Bradshaw (vs Was)
Felix Jones (vs NYJ)
Shonn Greene (vs Dal)
Ben Tate (vs IND)

I'm assuming its a toss up between Felix and Greene. However if Foster doesn't go does Tate become start worthy over any of the other guys?

^AP, Bradshaw, Greene unless Foster is out, then Tate instead of Greene.

Pick 1:
Big Ben @ Baltimore or Josh Freeman vs. Detroit?

Pick 1:
Percy Harvin @ San Diego, Chad OchoCinco @ Miami, Santonio Holmes vs. Dallas

Right now I have Freeman and Holmes starting.

League 2:
Pick 1
Dez Bryant @ Jets or Steve Smith (car) @ Cardinals.

Holmes if he plays, Harvin if he doesn't. Start Freeman with confidence. Dez over smitty. I don't trust Cam to have too many completions to WR, he will be checking down to TEs and RBs all day

^^I would take Freeman vs Detroit, and Holmes v Dallas.

League 2: Tough Pick there, but I feel like Revis will be on Bryant the whole game, therefore choosing Steve Smith vs Zona

With the news that Foster is unlikely to play today vs the Colts I feel like I must ask if I should start him over Michael Turner vs Chicago

Pick one:

Tolbert
Beanie Wells
The law Firm.

Go with Beanie, the Panthers defense has been atrocious albeit in the preseason but still. Miami's defense is pretty stout and I think Brady will be throwing it to move the chains. Tolbert is a 50-50 timeshare guy.

Pick two from this muck with Foster (likely) out:

Ward
Tate
Stewart
Collie

Leaning toward J Stew and Ward at this point, but it all feels like a coin flip. 0.5 PPR league.

Addai @Hou
Tolbert @Min
H. Ward @Bal

W/R/T Flex. I have Austin Collie too, but he's Q.

I'd probably go with Wells, but give Tolbert more credit than '50-50 timeshare' imo.

or

Cedric Benson vs. Browns?

^ I would go with Benson because the bengals have a rookie qb and a rookie #1 wide receiver....Tate will be the #2 rb even with Foster out

I don't know whether I should play Zach Miller (TE Sea) or AJ Green (WR Cin)....Zach Miller is projected to have more points according to yahoo but I hate to start any TE over a #1 receiver even though he is a rookie...both have bad QBs throwing to them

I would go with AJ Green since hes the #1 guy for Cincy

pick 1 - we get 1pt for every 20 return yards

Julio Jones @ Chicago
Jacoby Ford @ Denver

also, pick 1

Beanie Wells vs. Carolina
Legarrette Blount vs. det

^^^ you've gotta think Benson will get more carries while Tate is in a timeshare situation

^ Ford is the #1 wideout in oakland....but we know julio is going to get some work. may be worth it to play Ford for the return yardage.

& i don't trust Beanie.

Gonzalez Atl TE @Chi

or

M Lewis Jac TE vsTen

?

Matt Ryan is a solid QB and Jacksonville just dropped their starting QB, but not sure about the teams they're playing against. I've asked about Gonzalez before w/ another option but his incredibly low proijected points worries me

Could consider it a tossup but I would give the edge to Ford because last year Denver gave up 26 passing tds compared to Chicago's 14

I would go with Blount over Wells because beanie is unproven but then again he could put up big numbers since he is the guy for Arizona now

Welker vs MIA
AJ Green vs CLE
Julio vs CHI

really want to play Green, but sense of safety makes me lean towards Welker

Miami is on like a 7 year opening game losing streak, and Patriots are on a 8 year opening game winning streak. That and supposedly you don't start a rookie in his first NFL game ever

Id say a choice between Welker or Julio, edge to Welker

Didn't realize Julio was a rookie too lol. There's a chance his athleticism combined with playing opposite Roddy White could get him some play, as id imagine Chicago would focus on White and could let Julio slip a little

Better play might be Welker, but I drafted Cam Newton for shits and giggles so what do I know

Also I'm not seeing any news of Roddy white being out of the game
