Take this for what it's worth but I just got an email from my dad confirming that Sonny Dykes is the new coach of NC State football.

Obviously, this seems like "my brother's sister's cousin's friend said" but the email circulated from Tommy Williams who owns Charlie Goodnight's comedy club among other ventures. He is very close to coach Strickland, Sidney Lowe, and most importantly Todd Stroud.

There is an emergency BOT meeting Wednesday night to discuss raising the salary ceiling for "a position" and everything seems to coincide with this information. Yow had said she wanted to move quickly due to the other job openings around the country that are more attractive.

We'll see how this plays out, but if I'm right - you heard it first from ncsuallday

Maybe I'm wrong in thinking this, but if Ark is trying to lure a huge name like Les Miles then I think that bodes well for our search. Let Ark and others go after those names while we stick with a realistic list, act quickly, and get a coach that otherwise may have taken the Ark job over the State job.
