Honestly, I've never seen a team improve over the course of a season like this Duke team did.

Really one of the best coaching jobs by K that I've seen in awhile.

We beat them before they had it all figured out.

To be young and as tough as they are NOW...that is good coaching.

K the best college coach ever...I will agree. It's not really close.

They beat wisconsin in november and have a team of like 7 amazing recruits. Coach k is the best but i dont see how this team could be considered primary evidence of that. They just lost in the acc semis 2 weeks ago.

Duke got caught looking ahead against ND in Greensboro and they paid for it. Just because they beat them by 30 a month earlier they thought they'd just suit up, take the court, and walk out with a double digit win. I'm actually glad they lost that game.

K should have more than four titles and isn't the strongest game coach but he's undoubtedly one or two all time with Wooden.

And he has EIGHT McD's AA'S on this roster even after dismissing one. Giving him credit for improving these players is like saying Calipari turned Rose and Wall into stars.

Duke obviously played all of '98-'99 with an ineligible player in Maggette. K had no way of knowing at the time and I don't blame him for it but it's absolutely egregious the NCAA didn't vacate all those wins.

It still blows my mind how this shit is consistently swept under the rug and forgotten by every sports reporter or media-related person. I mean, outside of people that regularly follow NandO or Triangle Sports, I can't think of that many other people that would be aware of it purely based on the fact that any dirt regarding these guys tends to receive as little national news as possible. Also, and prolly the most important cog in this machine, is that all of the talking heads just treat it as if it never happened and laud these guys like there are the symbol of all that embodies academic righteousness and integrity. Any idiot would assume that they would have lost that shine by now.

Tbf a lot of national media scrutinized K and Duke in the mid-2000s about Magette and the joke Sociology degrees that players got in two years. That's why K was basically only recruiting white guys for a few years.

We had a legit chance that we could have had 3 ACC teams in the final 4 (No one was getting past UK) but hell, ND was within 2 points so lets say all 4 final four teams and the championship of the NIT.

Nice to see all the teams make it to the sweet 16 or beyond except UVA and the first team out still be playing as well.
