mistakes killed us - 70 yd td run, fumble on the 5, and fumble on a good drive

we also really miss shad today, no runs up the middle

^^^^ You think it's BS? What did we do in our first 4 games that's so creative? If anything, we were suggesting that we were keeping the playcalling simple so we wouldn't show our full playbook prior to ACC play. Come to find out that the playbook is really that simple, just trying to exploit mismatches and using a good running game out of the spread.

As soon as we had the fumble on the 5 yard line early in the game, I knew it was going to be a long day. That was such a momentum killer, particularly after they turn it around and get a TD.

This game had shades of the OSU home game from 08. I think we played our way out of this game, but UL isn't that much a slouch. They lost to the #6 and #11 team in the country and to an undefeated Houston team.

sucks to lose to these loose buttholes at HOME!!!11 But I'm still not giving up on the season.

Our defense is still suspect, we got absolutely abused on 3rd downs and that has got to get better, absolutely wide open receivers, and our line getting pushed on quite a few plays. It got a little better in the 2nd half, still has quite a ways to go and I'm hoping we see that throughout the season. Line is going to need to get pressure every down, we weren't even close to that today.

Offensive play calling was pretty "meh" and execution was shitty on quite a few plays too. Our team has to maintain some balance to open up the run game, so I GET the continued throwing throughout the 2nd half, I'm just disappointed that there were so few completions. At least a few of those bombs to Hines, short routes near the end of the game that Brissett threw short, etc need to be completed so that we can continue to lean on all of our various run schemes. I'd still like to see more non-conventional run plays getting the ball to Samuels and Dayes and getting them to the corner.

Again, this is a disappointing loss, but if Coach D can improve on some of the above I still think we are gonna be competitive in a bunch of our games and I'm still on board.

You cant lose your best two players and not expect to take a loss but brissett was off today. Somethimg about him was way off. He was never a great down field qb but today he had no mobility, no pocket presnce, no throwing power or accuracy on short passes. He also missed two handoffa. Something was way off about him and it may be mcclendon time if we get one more half like that. I am shocked he has regressed this far.

I am also shocked that we are giving away our tempo which made us tough to stop last year.. that seems to have been a concious decision all season.
