Fwiw I can't remember a time ever I've seeked out Salon or Huffington post in my life. If I come across a link I'll read it but I treat it much the same way I treat WND or Breitbart.

My opinions come from me not some ideological hack of a website..

^ that too, we rarely post HuffPo, they're a reblogger, they literally post blog posts, many of which are well done, but many also have the quality of the trash you might find on a blog like durhamagainstfluoride.com .

Moron is obviously very sensitive right now because I hit a soft spot. The entire first page of his search results shows years of HuffingtonPost links. It must be on his favorites bar, or his homepage.

And those are just cases when the clickbait compelled him to share the links, god knows how long he has been reading that. To think he probably rips on Fox News while he is somehow oblivious to the biased liberal propaganda he has been using.

I remember laughing when you referenced HuffPost in the White Privilege thread. First of all, you don't know if he actually told the other student that, but you just assume that whatever source you heard that from is correct, because that fits your "narrative". (and yes, hopefully we all can admit that "news" agencies are frothing at the mouth for these kinds of stories)

And no, it's not common practice to detain a 12-year old kid for three days for a bomb threat.

This is more an irrational fear of brown people that has been whipped up by islamophobic elements in our politics, this doesn't mean the administrators were specifically acting on racism, but is still an element of islamophobia; this is pretty obvious.

I think we all can see that it's patently absurd to hold a 12 year old for 3 days for maybe mentioning the word "bomb" in a "discussion" about terrorism with his classmates.

Youre probably one of those people who believe in zero-tolerance policies and policing language, so that students can only communicate with each other like they're in an airport, right? No need to consider context when the zero tolerance policy has you covered.

We have a quote from the kids sister, confirming he said he had a bomb, referencing a heart monitoring battery in a bag. That isn't something you joke about. Kids get in trouble for that no matter what their race/religion is.
