Houston's defensive intensity last night was impressive. They weren't exactly lights out on offense...but their D kept them in it.

Will be interesting to see if they can keep that up for Game 5. I have my doubts...

Don't get what the plan was with their 6 second play. Team didn't seem prepared for that situation and even if he doesn't mishandle the ball I don't see where that play was going unless he was just suppose to go at the rim and try for 2/foul. Big mistake passing it and not getting the timeout to advance the ball, didn't realize that was the rule never seen it just assumed a timeout in the backcourt got advanced.

I still think they will win 2 in a row then probably win the finals in 5 games, but at least it is interesting. Hopefully Cavs win and we get 2 game 7s.

I think he had Thompson in the corner so I guess maybe it was go to the rim and if the corner crashes kick to there. Didn't think of the kick back to Curry but wasn't going to work as the Rockets didn't really drop back but pressed up, pretty smart actually not fearing the foul and pressing up and impacting the play. Just poorly executed end of game situations two in a row now by GSW. Maybe Kerr should let his players coach the final minute of the game.

Reverting to iso ball when you have the greatest iso player ever and the 2nd best currently in the league both on your team is such a terrible, terrible idea.

FYI, the Rockets were more efficient on Harden isos this year than they were in transition, and they were the best transition team in the NBA. But yeah, that's terrible strategy.

Rockets (and Golden State for that matter) are reverting to "ISO ball" because that's about the thing the defense is allowing.

Both team's offenses rely heavily (other than ISO, of course) on screens. Both teams are switching on EVERY screen. Both teams have four, and sometimes five, players on the court that can truly guard all positions. The Rockets built their team to not just score on Golden State, but also defend them. And Golden State has always been able to do this. Houston's bread and butter is the pick and roll with Capela. Golden State switches on automatically and Capela is rarely open when he rolls to the basket. Even when he gets a sliver of room, whoever is guarding the wing will rotate and he's sandwiched. Houston has turned it over numerous times trying to execute this play that worked so well for them in the regular season.

Houston's best play is finding the weakest one-on-one matchup with the switches. It's either Looney/Bell/West or Steph Curry. Third weakest is probably Draymond. That play is more efficient for them than trying to squeeze in a lob or to Capela. It can also open up shots for other players if the defense collapses.

It also helps Houston slow the game down a bit since they've shortened their rotation and are only going 7 deep (6 deep now I guess!).
