There’s also evidence we’re seeing an uptick in mass shootings, so between all these factors i do think we’re setting the stage for an increase in these types of events

I'm not sure if you're kidding or not. Or maybe you some specific definition for 'this kind of shooting' or 'south'. but there have been several shootings below the mason-dixon line, so definitely including North Carolina and Georgia, but also Florida and Maryland, which some people don't describe as the south.

Maybe you're thinking of a particular death count? Maybe greater than 3 or 4 and an extremely restrictive definition of south, would make your point valid.
But even when a gunman comes in and randomly shoots and injures people,, rather than kills, I still consider that a problem worthy of greater gun control.

Shooting on school campus doesn't happen often imo, especially in the South where it's considered as a peaceful and safe region. And this one occurred right at the heart of the UNCC campus, where Hillary had her rally in 2016. So it's really hurting.

Again, still inaccurate, unless you are specifically restricting to college campuses and have an odd definition of the south. There was literally a school shooting in Georgia like a week or two ago, with a ton of injuries.

There was the large one with lots of deaths in Texas (argue if you want whether it is the south but it's definitely gun country). There was also Parkland, which was only a few years back. I mean really, without going far back at all, I can't see justification for your statement. There is so much to the contrary that I'm starting to think I'm missing an obvious joke you're making. If so, I'm sorry.
