So because of the timing, our UNC game means something on Friday evening, until it doesn't on Saturday afternoon... but I'd argue it means something either way, because i would prefer to win, especially against UNC, even if Wake ends up winning.

Wake has to play at BC. that is a tremendous opportunity to fuck up and make us very lucky.

We beat BC on a back up QB. We beat FSU on a back up QB.

Miami dude balled out against us, but he’s pretty legit. He’s been really good even outside of the game against us.

I expect Howell to play but idk. That Vegas line (6.5/7) feels high to me. Vegas knows what they’re doing, so unless they know more than we do about Howell’s status (good chance they do), I think the line probably reflects Howell playing. I think all along Mack Brown had hinted at Howell being good to go for this game. It does seem weird that Howell didn’t even get an honorary snap on his senior day on Saturday. Even if it was to just take a knee.

I think the game means something regardless. Unless we just say that all games don’t mean anything unless there’s divisional stakes on the line. Regardless of the Wake game…A win gives us a shot at 10 wins in the bowl, a 6-2 record in the ACC which is pretty rare for NC State, an undefeated home record (how many times has that been done? Idk), and a good shot at finishing the season with our highest ranking in a long time.
