Im going to twink a hunter at 29 for Bg and i was wondering what would be some of the best gear to go for. SO far i have both of these for ranged and i have no clue which is best for PvP. I know the slower it is the harder it hits but i seem to do a lot better with a fast ranged.

^ Crystalpine Stinger. Typically slower weapons are better for PVP hunters. They allow you to do much more damage on your opening Aimed Shot/multi. Hunters focus on agility, but you want to make sure and get plenty of stamina as well. Crit chance is really important, but you don't get those bonuses until level 50-60. 1/8/2006 4:22:44 PM |

im getting to where i can at least be competitive with much much better geared warriors. Cant wait to start gearing him up 1/8/2006 10:54:26 PM |

it just means that your server is that much shittier if you can't put aside the ganking to cooperate and get the job done. 4 of the top 10 servers are pvp, so it's not like it's making that much of a difference.
on medivh, we have alliance people in orgrimmar all day now to farm linen from RFC, and horde in SW farming wool from the stockades. opportunities for ganking are around, but we're able to organize and cooperate for a common goal.]] 1/9/2006 3:32:02 AM |

Actually
PvP is a fuckton more fun with this world event then PvE. Everyone on a PvE server is already pussified and used to "cooperating." For us on PvP servers, its a whole new thing and its pretty sweet seeing big alliance and horde guilds farming side by side in an uneasy truce. At any moment, the situation can errupt and both sides just go at each other. It adds tension.

Ok I get the uneasy truce thing for PVP, and I havent actually played much since the new patch, at least not my high level characters that would help....
but how is this working? Do guards not attack opposite factions anymore?

On an epic mount you can easily make it into either instance before you die. 1/9/2006 11:41:01 AM |
CalledToArms All American 22025 Posts user info edit post |
if you plan on getting into RFC in org plan on dying several times, but i suggest going naked.
unless no one in the city decides to attack you, regardless of whether youre on an epic mount you can get taken down fast. heck i take down ppl solo on epic mounts all the time (minus druids).
besides just use the neutral AH to give the alliance linen, set it up on your forums. and the alliance on our server downe eranikus like as soon as it spawned didnt even get to see it

If you run in the back entrance to Orgrimmar, you can make it easily without ever dying.
I did it yesterday on a normal mount to farm linen in RFC. Got about 120 in one run.
Guards have slow reaction times and have to get lucky and daze you to knock you off your mount, and with no PCs attacking you, it makes it pretty easy to get to RFC. 1/9/2006 12:01:52 PM |

A) Deadmines drops as much, if not more wool than linen. B) Ragefire Chasm drops 4-5 linen per drop, resulting in more total linen. C) I can run through Ragefire twice in the time I can run Deadmines once. D) It's more fun to bust into Orgrimmar. 1/9/2006 12:50:16 PM |

I'm not trying to make any judgement on whether PvE or PvP servers would be more fun right now during the war efforts; I'm just saying that if you'd really rather spend your time ganking people who are trying to open the gates, then it sucks to be your server. I think what SandSanta described would be pretty damn cool, to have that tension there waiting to bust out at any time, but only as long as the server actually is trying to organize and cooperate, instead of both sides trying to hold the other one back. 1/9/2006 2:19:16 PM |
Doss2k All American 18474 Posts user info edit post |
hence why they gave linen to ally and wool to horde they werent trying to make this easy. Also notice the new oil patterns happen to use the same herbs for mats as required for the war effort at least horde side... 1/9/2006 2:20:28 PM |

Yay for Immortalis! Missed getting to see the stuff in Silithus the other night, but hopefully I'll be able to catch the stuff in Moonglade (I can get there instantly, woohoo...). Who are you sending to the islands south of Tanaris for the part of the book? I don't know how a non-druid or shaman could even make it... I went down there the other day, died twice (once as ghost) and saw a big X marked in the sand on an island full of pirates. I was so frustrated when I couldn't dig!
Maybe waterwalk + swiftness potions? Do those work in combination? Cheetah form used to work with waterwalk, doesn't anymore though. 1/9/2006 4:43:57 PM |

If youre bored go to Karazhan in southern Deadwind Pass and find the grave yard. Die right beside the gate of the crypt behind it and rez on the other side. Look at my tooltip. The gates arent even named yet.
