I just use regular rechargeable AA batteries. It works well since I can use them for both the 360 and the Wii.

I use the power packs, I have 2 with a charger and I'm more than happy with that. I'd burn through AA batteries at a ridiculous rate otherwise.

Do any of you miss cheat codes? I know I sure do sometimes.

I'm heading over to a buddy's house tonight, and I'm taking burnout. I'd love to have all the cars unlocked, but without playing through the entire game I can't make that happen. Why not just put the ability to unlock all these features and disable all achievements? Like in Rock Band where you can instantly unlock all songs.

Revenge

actually, is it possible to download a save game file, put it on a usb, and then use it on your xbox? or are they tied to gamertags? probably a really dumb question

yeah Revenge doesn't have cheat codes but Paradise does.

I miss cheat codes sometimes but would only use them in a scenario like you are talking about. I am addicted to getting achievements for some reason.

oh yeah, they are great. But another example is SF4. I know SSF4 has all unlocked, but original didn't. So you wouldn't get half of the secret characters

so...this late in the 360 life cycle, are there any reliable fixes for the RRoD? I've just lost my 3rd, and considering switching over to PS3 because it's just ridiculous. I'd like to repair this thing if at all possible, but wasn't sure if anyone in here has had any luck repairing one.

Are you installing games or not? And you are not covered by the 3 year special warranty? Some of the 360s are not covered by it, I think this arcade version I just bought like a month ago only has the standard 1 year warranty on it.

Tried out the demo for Limbo... pretty cool.

It'll appeal to people like Braid. Has the $15 price tag too.

"In a stroke of exceptionally bad luck for SNK, a glitch has been discovered that unlocks free access to the full versions of five of the publisher's XBLA games for users who already have the demos on their hard drives. To make it worse, the glitch occurs within Modern Warfare 2 (a game that bajillons of Xbox 360 owners already have) -- or its recent demo (which is freely available). "

Borderlands Claptrap DLC rolling out

* By Eddie Makuch, GameSpot
* Posted Aug 11, 2010 10:47 am PT

Gearbox's shoot-and-loot title expands again with New Robot Revolution starring quirky monoped for $10 this September.

Gearbox Software's Pandora, the home planet in Borderlands, is a popular place for gamers to visit…but it's now facing a revolution.

2K Games and Gearbox today announced the fourth downloadable expansion pack for the shoot-and-loot sci-fi game. Dubbed Claptrap New Robot Revolution, the content thrusts players into a civil war between the Hyperion Corporation and the Claptraps, led by the elusive Ninja Assassin.

The Robot Revolution downloadable content adds new missions and enemies--including Claptrap-ified monsters--to shoot and loot, as well as new boss battles. Additionally, the content lets gamers earn an additional 10 skill points and three supplementary backpack slots for holstering more weapons.

Viva la Robolution!

This fourth downloadable expansion follows previously released Borderlands content Mad Moxxi's Underdome Riot, The Zombie Island of Dr. Ned, and The Secret Armory of General Knoxx.

Claptrap New Robot Revolution will arrive on Xbox Live, the PlayStation Network, and Windows PC this September priced at 800 Microsoft points or $9.99. For more on the series, check out GameSpot's review. "

Monday Night Combat was probably the best 15 dollar game I've ever purchased.

It's like TF2 meets DOTA meets Smash TV. It's pretty incredible for a Live Arcade title. Matchmaking is weak, but again it's a Live Arcade title.

New x-box controller with improved d-pad to be $64.99 bundle with play and charge kit (only way to purchase)

Many people are complaining it wasn't bundled with the new system, but why should it be? Just another great way for MS to get you to buy yet another device you probably already have 4 of

I've never had any trouble using the regular D-Pad. Aside from looking cool I don't really see any advantage. I'm surprised Nintendo is letting them get away with it though... they have some kind of patent on the "+" shaped D-Pad... that's why all non-Nintendo controllers don't have the simple plus design for their D-Pad.

Must be some kind of legal mumbo-jumbo that because it can "morph" it's not a true "+" design

The current D-pad is thoroughly terrible. It's basically just another joystick with a huge flat head on top. There's a reason why most games only assign it to simple one-push things like weapon switching or just don't use it at all, which I suppose is why so many people are saying they don't have a problem with it...

Try playing fighting games with one. Turn on the "show input" option, and use the d-pad. Pushing in one direction usually results in a whole shitload of different directions that you wouldn't want to push. There's no precision.

Even if you don't play fighting games, it still means you've got a barely usable plastic circle taking up space on the controller.

I like that they've done this, it's just too bad that I won't be buying one. At least not at $65.

A new D-pad is long overdue. I made countless wrong turns on Pac Man CE because of it. I played a friend in Marvel vs Capcom 2 (who's pretty good at most fighting games) and it was no contest because he couldn't get it to do anything.

I mean yeah it's shitty but I don't think I've ever played a 360 game where it was the main control method.
