We got shafted on this last event in Raleigh but that wasn't entirely unexpected I guess. The previous one with around 3 inches was decent. It has been awhile since we got a major event for sure.

I'm planning on cranking my thermostat up to 80 degrees Saturday morning so it's nice and toasty for a little while once the power goes out.

Don't forget to put your thermostat on the emergency heat setting (if you have a regular heat pump) when the freezing rain starts!
