In advance of Halloween in a few weeks and to help you not be able to sleep tonight (or possibly ever again) here are a bunch of the creepiest vintage Halloween pics:

I.M. Cooling Tower, Belgium These are parts of a cooling tower in an old power station in Monceau, Belgium. The trumpet-like structure in the middle introduced hot water to the structure, where it then cooled while dripping down hundreds of small concrete troughs and slats
Sunken Yacht, Antarctica This eerie ghost ship is the Mar Sem Fim, a Brazilian yacht that was shipwrecked near Ardley Cove in Antarctica. A Brazilian crew had taken it to film a documentary, but strong winds and stormy seas forced the crew to abandon ship. The water that washed over the ship froze, cracked its hull and sunk the yacht, but it has since been salvaged.
Underwater City in Shicheng, China This incredible underwater city, trapped in time, is 1341 years old. Shicheng, or Lion City, is located in the Zhejiang province in eastern China. It was submerged in 1959 during the construction of the Xin’an River Hydropower Station. The water protects the city from wind and rain erosion, so it has remained sealed underwater in relatively good condition.

So what do I win?
Anyway, the first video was posted here a while ago, so y'all should remember it.

lol @ the US having 1-2 billion people - at least they're children
Reminds me of the survey of GROWN ASS PEOPLE asking them what percentage of the country made 250k or more...there was answers of up to 75% and most were between that and 15 or 20%(I don't recall the exact numbers) 10/4/2013 2:57:43 PM |

Africa is a continent, not a country. Why the hell they comparing countries to it? Why isn't canada or russia in the mix... oh yeah... 10/4/2013 7:48:46 PM |

Because it doesn't look as big as it should on the flat maps that we use. Look at a map, and there is no way it looks as big as US, china, Europe, and India combined.
Another way to look at it is Russia, Canada, and India combined. 10/4/2013 7:52:11 PM |

Looks fine to me.
I like how they leave out Alaska and Hawaii though. It's actually 9.827 million km² with them.

It is obvious the US, china, India, Mexico, and Europe will NOT fit inside Africa in the map you posted. Just measure with your eyes, and it is clear. Or if you want, like I did, just measure the distance (with a ruler) from the NW tip of the US to the NE tip, and see if it will fit inside Africa as portrayed in the pic I posted. It does NOT.
And you posted the Robinson projection, which doesn't distort as much as the Mercator, which they mentioned.
Look at the picture below... does it look like the US , china, India, Mexico, and Europe will fit inside Africa? Hell no. Did you know that Australia is 3.5 times as large as Greenland? What does it look like on the map? The circles on the map all have the same area on the globe. BTW, Alaska and Hawaii add negligible area, come on man, seriously.

who. gives. a. fuck.
it's a map. if you have any bit of sense, you realize that a flat projection of a spherical surface is going to have issues. do we really need a dick measuring contest about the size of countries and continents? The people who think "yeeeeeeah!!! America rocks cause it's a big country!!!" will find some other inane reason to yell "yeeeeeeaaaaaaaahhhh!!! America rocks!!!" if you suddenly show them that America isn't a big as they thought it was.] 10/4/2013 11:15:00 PM |
