for me when I log into my router I can see the various devices that have been assigned IP addresses. For me it's under my UPnP setting. When I got the new 360 slim I had to clear out the old 360 info and reset up my 360 with a static IP. I wasn't having problems downloading, but with having a moderate NAT. Even though I had set the new 360 with the same IP I kept getting a moderate NAT. Once I cleared out the router and reset up the 360 the router detected it and from then on its worked fine.

3d mini golf is great. Best to play that as a terrorist and just fuck people over. Even better is designing a course with the sole purpose of getting the other folks to rage quit. I can't tell you the amount of frustration one can feel to be 30 over for one hole, right at the green only to have some fucker come by with lightening and zap you back to the beginning.

since my DVD drive was kinda fucked I went and got a new 250GB box...transferring my data from my shitty 20 gig hard drive to the new drive right now

I take it you can't use XBox 360 memory cards on the black 250GB model? no big deal, I transferred my profile to my hard drive before the swap, but it kinda sucks you can't even use the memory sticks

also how long does it generally take to burn a game disc to your HDD?

i transferred my gamertag from my first 360 to a memory card before i got my 2nd 360 (the 250 gig is my 3rd overall) so I could play on my gamertag on my friends console

but yeah, its not really necessary anymore

I would also recommend putting all of your save games on the usb as well, since I had a HD fail and lost all of my saves
