I don't know if our season next year will look a whole lot different from this year. The only difference will be that our struggle through mediocrity won't be preceded by high expectations.

We will probably be unranked most of the season, playing on Thurs of the ACCT, lower in the standings from both Duke and UNC, a shitty NCAA tournament seed, etc.

NC State will be the 3rd seed if:
1. NCSU beats FSU AND Virginia finishes 1-1 (or 0-2) AND UNC loses to Duke

NC State will be the 4th seed if:
1. NCSU beats FSU AND UVA finishes 1-1 (or 0-2) AND UNC beats Duke
2. NCSU loses to FSU AND UVA finishes 0-2

NC State will be the 5th seed if:

This! Hopefully the NCAA committee takes that into account. We would have beaten Miami and I'd like to think we would have had a better chance vs. Virginia if Zo didn't get hurt during that stretch. If they use the same logic for Duke & Ryan Kelly, then they should for us for those two games.

I do have to say that I'm a little disheartened at UNC turning it around. I hope Duke crushes them on Saturday and throws them into a tailspin. They have a ton of confidence right now and that needs to be ended.

They've shot extremely well recently. So hopefully they go cold this weekend and it just carries on into the ACC and NCAA tournaments.

It's nice for State to play well...but it makes it all the better if UNC sucks at the same time.

All we can really do now is hope that FSU musters a win against UVA. FSU has actually swept all the other boreball teams in the ACC (UMD, GT, Clemson), so I like their chances at UVA even though they got blown out the last time they played. Hopefully Shannon coming back against the team that injured him gives them a spark.

^Actually, UVA still plays Maryland...so we need either FSU to beat UVA tonight or Maryland to beat them this weekend. The UNC/Duke game only has meaning IF we beat FSU and UVA loses 1 more game. THEN, we would get the 3rd seed. To be honest, I want the 4 seed with a matchup with UVA, then Miami in the semis. That is the easiest route to the finals IMO.
