idk, after I looked at the dress i vote something a little more simple just because the dress is pretty detailed. Something that picks up on that dark blue under color

^^ The sequined shoes are great! So Vegas!

^ I like those as well. Very suede-y. I REALLY like them. They'd be very versatile.

Darnit! I'm an 8.5!

I really like the second pair. But I need to be able to dance in them. Does Calvin Klein make a comfy heel? Or should I shell out a bit more dough for something that will feel better on my feet?

its a wedding, whatever you buy make sure you can stand to stand in them. Not to mention shoes you can wear again and again, its not worth it to buy a pair you can't or wont walk in

(says the girl who spent most of saturday thinking she was going to crash to her death in these)

YES! or even a hot pink.

if anything you could go with a nice gold, bronze, or silver strappy shoe.

I put together two different concepts of looks I'm thinking about for the dress. I worked on one w/yellow shoes, but couldn't make it gel. I kind of dig the peacock look.

I really like those gold sandals you picked out. And I think you should stay away from blue shoes to avoid matchy matchy. But I think that gold, coppery brown, nude, and even red would be good choices.

Sometimes I want to hate on shoes, but then I'll find out that they're super expensive NYC dope shit.....

and i'm like...."oh yeah, i'm from NC, what do I know about fashion?"...I do still wear my clark wallabees.

awww i <3 this french connection dress on sale at ruelala but my size is gone

but it also weirds me out that the size 12 is also sold out. i just feel like if you are a size 12 a "cheeky" dress maybe isn't for you (unless you are all muscle then goooo for it i guess). but who knows.

OR you ordered a size 12 to have it tailored down to fit your shape

AND looking at their sizing chart a 12 is a M, 35.5'' bust, 29'' waist, 39'' hip

^^ahhh good point

yea the clothes are usually a lot tinier than usual sizes. and i didn't think about the tailoring thing (mostly because i'm too lazy to ever do that haha).

well i didn't pull it out of thin air

http://www.frenchconnection.com/content/help/sizing.htm

some companies still use the WWII sizing chart, just like wedding dress designers. my dress was a size 12, but i wear an 8 when i go to Express/Banana/Gap/Target/etc.

tell me about it! I think you're more referring to trends than fashion in general. there are plenty of trends that I couldn't pull off and don't want to. I have more of a classic style - I only buy stuff that'll look good year after year.

and seriously, wtf was up with harem pants?? can anyone who's not an NYC fashion editor even wear these?

I wouldn't wear that particular dress, but sometimes people who wear size 12 like to wear cute clothes. Who knew everyone who's that size is a hambeast?

i said unless you are like muscle and toned

and disclaimer: i wouldn't even wear that dress cause it would look bad on me (i am not toned nor a size 12 - though maybe in french connection i would be)

but as LK already pointed out - the sizes for that brand are TINY.

[Edited on March 10, 2010 at 3:58 PM. Reason : well i would wear it cause i like it but i couldn't pull it off. difference.]

I think I've only seen True Lemon in stores

but you can check here http://www.truelemon.com/purchase.cfm

and then call one of the grocery stores listed and ask if they have the True Lime in stock.

where have you looked? i've always been able to find it at harris teeter or lowe's foods (if you haven't tried lowe's yet - look there).

in other news - did not know true orange existed! will have to try.

(also some stores put it in different places. sometimes its near the splenda but other times it is near the crystal light which is sometimes near the splenda or sometimes near the gatorade/juice aisle)

well, they arent as cute as stilettos but since i wear 12WW and am very, very heavy, they are better than the rest of the grandma shoes i have to choose from. i can only wear a 1.5-2" heel at the very most.

i got true lime at walmart

oh dag. i didn't know that. so you are 12W or WW? what is WW. extra wide? i'm guessing it is def hard to find cause i did some quick googling and could only find most things in just reg 12W

here are some clark's that come in 12WW, but def a little more casual than what i think you are going for (based on the other pic)
