So you're e-mailing those guys trying to get them to reconsider the decision to let Austin play? Why? Seems like encouraging this to go forward would be more embarrassing to UNC and their fans.

Think of it this way. Including Austin put the UNC investigation back into the news, so it's already paid off. Let him play - it will just inevitably lead to more conversation about the UNC investigation.

Also, it's just one of many examples set this season showing that it's all about the money. Obvious, sure but it was better when it wasn't as blatant as this year.

I basically asked them how they could invite a kid that was ruled permanently ineligible that didn't play a snap all season over kids that did it the right way. That's just fucked up plain and simple.

Hey, forgive me for getting enjoyment out of watching UNC fans I know squirm over this. Certainly more enjoyment that I would have gotten had they allowed some other DT I've never heard of get his spot on the team.

In fact knowing that people are out there fuming over this and that it's all at the expense of a UNC player makes it all the sweeter.

I'm going to take a wild guess and say that those kids don't frequent Packpride...which is pretty much the only place that is really putting out information that will make UNC look bad to a potential recruit.

Now I'm sure other coaches are filling their ears with tons of information about what they think is going to happen...but I bet Coach Davis is using every trick in the book to make them think it's all bull shit. He probably has Thorp and Baddour on speed dial to assure the kids that nothing is going to happen.

Elaine Marshall and her office has gotten involved in the middle of it all, and will not allow the media to release said information at this time claiming that it would interfere with their ongoing investigation. 7. UNC is also fighting the release of the parking ticket, car registration info "tooth and nail"...there must be some really damaging stuff there because ohio state released it immediately through FOIA days after the media in Columbus asked for it. UNC is hiding behind FERPA over parking tickets which is an absolute joke. Something pretty damaging to go through all this trouble to hide this info. *** For all the fact checkers and non-believers just passing along what ive heard. If you can contact some media members, unc officials, or SOS office and get them to deny on record what i posted then feel free to do so, I would love to hear their response*** and this didnt come from any media member (actually other side of the fence @unc...believe it or not but not everybody is on team butch in tarheelia land...some have intergrity and want to put an end to this nonsense)"

Their Strength and Conditioning Coach, Jeff Connors, is leaving to take the same position at ECU.

Let's hope it's a sign of things to come (rats abandoning ship). Because this is easily a small step down. And I don't think ECU would paid him more than UNC...or at least that UNC wouldn't match whatever ECU's offer was. And Butch was supposedly a big fan of Connors.
