i'm not sure how a conviction works in our current law system - no matter how old the perv thinks that the person is - in the eyes of the law i would think what really matters i would imagine is how old they really are

i was talking to my lawyer buddy about this and he was telling me that what they are doing is not entrapment b/c you are still leaving the decision up to the person committing the crime

and the "bait" is not pursuing these individuals....the guys are actively seeking the girls and just happen to message the wrong girls

and I could swear i heard him say one time that the conviction rate was somewhere around 80%.



You have to realize that they're charging them with Soliciting a minor/ grooming. The chat logs are the proof. That's why they can arrest them even if they get spooked and don't come in the house.

I dunno, I think it's an issue of having different definitions of success. If the one example you can show of success out of 100+ cases is one guy going to jail for 6 years, I don't think that's too successful. Most everything I've read shows those guys getting 3 months or less of actual time served.

I just think they should get a lot worse punishment.

I said they rarely get convictions. What they do get are misdemeanor plea deals that net a maximum of 8-9 months of jailtime, which is often commuted entirely or done as work release.

Seriously, these people need to be fucking locked up and counseled for YEARS. This shit is entrapment at it's worst. I'm not trying to see these shits out on the streets, but I also think Perverted Justice needs to get the shit sued out of them, and they need to be going about this with legitimate law enforcement and not some fat fucks faking internet sex.
