i was able to get all the goodies for the android thing. i talked to the droid and told him i'd kill the guy and his body guard, so he gave me his rifle...then i went to see him and told him the droid was alive to get the VATS upgrade...when the dialogue was over i killed him and his bodyguard and looted all their shit

win/win/win baby

eh, having a game is never THAT important that a few weeks/months will kill me

I just get them all through goozex so I don't actually have to pay any money

I'm on the short list for fable 2, saint's row 2, fallout 3, rock band 2, and unleashed

lol

yeah, i think i lost some karma when i told him where the android is, but like bous said, it's easy to get karma back...you can do the clean water, or you can give some scrap metal away for free to the dude at the plant in megaton. i steal/hack/pickpocket/lockpick just about everything i can and am still good karma because of the tricks you can use to up

the android is in rivet city, but i don't recall how it all started

Found a place that has a hidden sniper rifle that you can get right off the bat or anytime for extra ammo and repair fodder

That town above it is Megaton

"The planned downloadable content for Fallout 3 will be available rather quickly after the game launch and apparently it will amount to around 7 hours of gameplay. The PAX event also saw the Bethesda team show off more of the game – especially the beginning section – which was also open to be played by the public.

Peter Hines, who often speaks on behalf of the development team, said, while talking to Shacknews, that "We want stuff that's going to be several hours. Not just like a one-off thing, but something like where you can download it and play it for X number of hours" while comparing the DLC that is planned to be released with the Knights of the Nine expansion that was delivered for Oblivion. It also seems that the DLC will be integrated seamlessly with the game experience, so you can go out and play it at any point during the course of the game.

It seems that Bethesda has planned further DLC for Fallout 3 since the beginning stages of the game development. Even as the finishing touches are being added the team is creating new content, mainly because the developers are sure that the prospect of new stuff coming quickly will attract players to the game. The new content will be offered for the Xbox 360 and the PC versions of the game, while the PlayStation 3 from Sony is not set to receive any DLC."

They need to take some time to release the Construction Set. There are a ton of mods that I would love to see.

[Edited on November 5, 2008 at 3:58 PM. Reason : Also, the ending sucks compared to the other Fallout endings.]

1: Melee VATS (I don't know why this isn't already in). Why shouldn't I be able to punch someone in the face, or knock their weapon out of their hand with a baseball bat?

2: Making skills and attributes "soft caps." So you can't normally increase them to more than 10 with any sort of levelling, but drugs and apparel bonuses would allow them to go higher than 10. I don't want to feel gimped when I roleplay a brute with 10 strength, since more than 8 str. is worthless after power armor.

3: New weapons, specifically the Vindicator minigun and Gauss Rifle, and more energy weapons. But I would love to see many other weapons scattered about the wastes.

4. Killable kids

5. Throwing knives

6. More powerful and less common Power Armor

you'll run across it in the museum of history when you're doing the head of state quest.

be sure to pick up everything else lincoln related while you're doing that quest as well, the dude will give you a lot of caps for it all.

This is one reason I wish my PC could run this game, is I feel I'm getting gipped on the free DLC/modding. I think the idea of free DLC would be a huge draw for a game, because that is so incredibly rare now it's sad

they come after you for being a dogooder as well...i have contract notes stating both

i'm disappointed by random encounters...i keep wanting to map somewhere and see the Dr. Who phone booth and other such shit (well, disappointed is a bit harsh for a game this good, but you get the point)

Heh, I accidentally triggered the Reilly's Rangers quest, where you rescue these dudes on a building and then their boss gives you money for every map point you find. 800 unexpected caps (and I haven't even explored very much), and their medic heals you for no cost.

Also, that combat armor they offer might be the best armor in the game.

Almost as good protection as Power Armor, doesn't hurt your agility, and gives extra Action Points.

^^^Yeah, I picked one off a dead ranger during the escape from the roof, it's fantastic. You can repair it pretty easily from all the Talon mercs you run into.

Where do you get the repeating rifle?

and Burke does too, I think

i talked to the old guy and he said they were evil. i didn't lose karma killing them if i recall correctly.

there's a points book to steal (lose karma) after you get one of the family's keys.

the problem with these kinds of games for me is that i usually like to do both good and evil things and end up being neutral the entire game :'(

that's why you've got to really TRY to be as evil as possible.

SHOOT FIRST. ASK QUESTIONS LATER. (and if it's a kid just keep shooting)

yeah i start out doing that but then i realize i have no idea what the plot of the game is, so i start asking questions and wind up neutral again

The Bobblehead benefits are instantaneously effective upon adding it to your inventory. After you collect the Bobblehead, the pop-up tells you that. The collector's stand at the crib in Megaton is just for show.
