it seems that couponing is stereotyped towards females, but i see more and more guys doing it. it's the smart thing to do in a tight economy (especially when you're on a grad student budget). i've had women come up to me at HT and tell me that they love to see a guy using coupons. plus my girlfriend loves it. we eat huge meals for less than $5 using stuff I got for free or close to free at HT. i've taught her the ways of couponing as well and now she walks out of HT like a bandit too.

Tear pads are like a little booklet that companies send out for consumers to tear a coupon off. I've never seen them at a gas station. I have found them at the grocery store before but I never take the whole pad. I will take what I can use but otherwise I leave it so others can benefit too.

This might sound weird but I really want to get some good free things to go in stocking stuffers.

Before you judge, I have ELEVEN nieces and nephews so I am just trying to get stuff for their stocking stuffers. They range from age 7 to 19 so tooth paste, candy, lip stick and make up, and anything else would work.

What good deals have you found??

I know Carolina Hurricanes send out fan packs.

The best thing to do is go to the official website of the team and go to "contact us" and look for "community relations" or something like that. Carolina Hurricanes community relations email says it is for fan packs.

I requested Hurricanes, Anaheim Angels and Carolina Panthers yesterday. Will let you know when/what I receive.

I have a whole ton of coupons I don't want/need that are still available. I live near New Bern Ave and the first responder wasn't able to meet with me since I live so far out. If someone would be willing to meet me near New Bern Ave I will be glad to give them away. I can't mail them because there are simply too many.

With that being said, I will not give them to someone who is attempting to sell them. I would rather them go to a fellow couponer, trying to save a buck or two.

To give you an idea on the amount, I have been stuffing them into a page protector and it's buldging...About 3/4 an inch.

the smart source was pretty bad today. i like the coldstone coupons though. other than that, it was just a bunch of pillsbury stuff that is REALLY only worth it when triples come around at places. I was really hoping for a P&G saver.

No coupons next Sunday

December 7th will have a Smartsource, Red Plum and P&G.
December 14th will have a Smartsource and Red Plum.
No coupons on December 21st (Christmas)
No coupons on December 28th (New Year's)

The first Sunday in January usually has a lot of coupons. I think this year we got something like 5 coupon inserts.

^^at the beginning of the year, some websites put out coupon schedules for the coming year.

that's the website I use. Not only does it have the coupon schedule for the year but Thursday or Friday of each week, they put out a list of all the coupons coming out that Sunday.

Last time I went Kmart doubling, it works best if they scan the item and then scan the Q - That way they don't get confused when picking which item it is and therefore it doubles to the right amount. You might have to ask them if they will do this.

well i'm gonna answer it yes i'm serious! i grew up in raleigh, and i've never known a kmart supercenter anywhere. i know there's some old rundown walmart supercenter out in garner. and there's a few target supercenters that have popped up in raleigh and cary, but i had no idea there was a kmart supercenter anywhere. i thought they were all so close to bankruptcy that they'd have all closed down by now. i only know of 2 kmarts now - one at western blvd, and one at maynard/kildaire in cary.
