no because if the hook was big enough to catch a tiny bream, it's not big enough to catch a bass or catfish that is large enough to be eating a whole bream

also, you should use completely different rod/reel combos for that

catch a small bream on a light rod w/ a small hook w/ a cricket or worm. take him off and hook him on a heavier rod w/ a live bait rig. use a larger hook and run it up through his bottom lip and out the top of his nose. if you get a bite, give him enough time to get the hook before you set it.

night life has no appeal to me. i know NC waters pretty well and that makes for a much better fishing trip. if i went to any of those other places, i'd have to get a guide and i would despise fishing with a guide.

that a good enough answer for you? you'd do what ever the fuck you want and that's what the fuck i would wanna do.

if you decide to fish for trout on some light spinning tackle try the trout magnets and trout slayers. i've seen them at dick's, but they should be easy to find in the mountains too. i don't fish for trout in mountain streams or whatever, but my buddy does up in west virginia and he swears by them. google "trout magnet" and "trout slayer lure". if you google "trout slayer" you'll get some kind of beer.
