McCain's smile is a smile of "Jesus Christ, I can't believe people think this uppity negro is even worth my time."

The smile he had in the debates is no where near the real john mccain smile. He is putting off this angered smirk. That's not the case at all. Most of us acknowledged that Palin handled herself relatively well in comparison to her other appearances, like the Couric interview. That is, she didn't look like a complete idiot. She still had periods of nonsensical rambling but at least she didn't have a complete and utter meltdown.

However, we still feel Biden won because he showed a much greater mastery of the issues and actually answered the questions that were asked, instead of resorting to canned statements and constantly changing the subject. As you say, there wasn't a knockout, but it were a boxing match that came down to the scorecards, Biden won big.
