It was. I had a great time except for getting the absolute worst bar service in my life from the tallish skinny bartender (but then I got Bart's attention and he made me two giant buckets of liquor which were amazing) and getting punched in the side by the security meathead when he noticed people were ripping shit out of the walls after there were only one or two things left.

It was nice to walk in to Le Tigre and think "Oh, I guess Brian's DJing."

Kind of surreal with the bulldozers ripping shit up outside all night.

Anyways, great last night to have there for the most part.

every night you're gonna have random folks

but friday night at least half the people in the bar i had never seen before, and they were being assholes almost to a man...pounding on the bar, ripping shit off the walls, running people over, etc.

these weren't people curious to check out a different place, they were there because they heard we were closing and thought they were free to fuck shit up

i maintain that most people at JP don't give a fuck about who walks through the door unless it's a friend they want to talk to

there are exceptions, sure, but i feel like our regulars and staff are pretty accepting folks as long as you're not a dick
