Some government agencies use the entrepreneurial budgeting system whereby you are rewarded for savings, and these days there is even more target based budgeting being used (everyone gets slashed a %). And while there are a number of agencies that do base their budgeting on last years budget the way you're talking about (the various colleges at NCSU are a prime example), it doesn't mean the agencies are inherently bad, or that you could ever get away with doing nothing for the rest of the year.


Just keeping this video fresh since the individual mandate for private options that so many GOP supported saying we should do it instead of the dems preferred public option, is now the aspect over which a few republican attorney generals are suing.

The GOP is trying to amendment the reconciliation bill to ban viagra for rapist (i'm sure that is a huge problem), with would probably pass with 100% if they'd do it as an individual bill, but they want to hold up reconciliation which is silly b/c regardless of whether the GOP likes or dislikes HCR, even they can agree that the reconciliation bill makes it better. Both sides are phony some of the times, but this is pressing it pretty hard.

Young people will soon be forced to pay for a healthcare policy or face fines.
Instead of talking up a capital gains cut, Obama is now increasing it. .. all on the backs of middle America. This will hurt the economic recovery.
Taxes will be going up for 4 years will little yummies coming back.
Still haven't heard him say they're taking our all the sweetheart deals for senators to get this turkey passed.

If I were a congressman right now, I would be doing everything I could to obstruct any and all legislation. Boehner is pretty much your mainstream Republican, and I don't agree with him on a lot, but the speech he made on the floor was good, and he did the right thing. No one read the entire bill. I don't get that comment, or why they would clap for it. I don't see how Hannity could think that made sense in any way, which leads me to question the authenticity of the clip.

After reading some video comments, one explanation that makes sense is that Hannity is mocking those in the media that compare tea partiers to terrorists. I imagine someone, at some point, called the tea party movement "Timothy McVeigh wannabes" and he was using it in that context.

Whatever he meant, it seems pretty dumb to make that comparison with the upcoming armed March on Washington for gun rights on April 19th which is the 15th anniversary of the Timothy McVeigh Oklahoma City bombing, and the recent militia attack, and the bricks through windows/gas line cut at the wrong house/leaving threatening messages for family members of congressmen you disagree with and all that lock and load atmosphere going on. That said, the bar of expectations for Hannity is set pretty low, so I'm not sure anyone will care too much.
