I mean, I don't think he's gonna be a perennial all-star or anything, but the Big East is no defensive slouch and teams literally game-planned their entire defense to him. The only other top talent they had was Jeremy Lamb and he barely played at all until halfway through the Big East season.

Basically, if he was bad, UConn got smoked. And they won the national title. Just saying...

not a big Kemba fan at all (in terms of him as an NBA player, seems like a good kid). don't see him ever being more than a 6th man, Ben Gordon/Jason Terry type. which isn't a bad thing.

Also ... not one to read into much analysis, but for a team that lacks any sort of offensive go-to guy, this is good to read:

In the past 6 seasons weve spent 3 top ten picks on guys who are under 6 feet. That would barely be acceptable for a wnba team

CBS Sportsline really needs to get its act together. When grading each individual draft pick, they gave the Bobcats an F for Biyombo and a B for Kemba. They later followed it up with this. I guess an F + B = A+ ??
