2009-2010 ACC 1st BE 3rd

2007-2008 ACC 3rd BE 4th
2006-2007 ACC 1st BE 5th

This is the first year in five years the Big East is rated tougher. Not to mention the ACC has 3 national titles since the supposed power Big East has won.

I went back to 2005 and only one team from the ACC has made it to the sweet 16 not named duke or unc. That was NC state

go to 2004. add Ga Tech and Wake Forest.

No one has made it past the sweet 16 besides Duke and UNC except for Ga Tech and that was 7 years ago. Take away duke and unc and the ACC is terrible.

The Big East has had multiple teams make it well past the Sweet 16.


Youre arguing that the big east is terrible at the bottom end but so is the ACC. NC State (5 years running), Wake Forest(last couple years), Ga Tech( since they went to the title game), Miami, Clemson, BC etc etc etc.

The Big East is horrible at the bottom...but their top half is awesome and miles ahead of the top half of the ACC. Two teams have been above average in the ACC the past 5/6 years...and that's Duke/UNC.

The top half of the Big East has been above average during that time. They have been head and shoulders above the ACC for the past few years and it's not even an argument.

I can never tell if Twista just tries to parody himself or what.

But in 9 seasons in the Big East, Jay Wright has made 6 NCAA tournaments (the last six actually), made a Final Four, two Elite Eights and four Sweet Sixteens. Beyond that he took over an awful Hofstra team who was horrible his first two years and slowly built it in to the best team in his conference.

If Jay Wright wanted to come here, which he never ever ever ever will, anyone with even a sliver of brainpower would volunteer to drive up to Philly and personally move him down here.

Wright is obviously a great coach and I'd love to have him here...my only concern with him would be his track record of being such a guard-oriented coach/recruiter...granted guard play is very important, but you need guards and bigs

but based on what some TWWers have said about Wright, there is literally no possible chance in the universe that he would ever lose 5 games in a row, or lose to a team with a 9-22, record, etc...thats who my comment was directed at

but I wouldn't expect you to get that, since you think Scrubs is hilarious and HOOPS MALONE isn't the slightest bit funny

^^ they actually lost one of their top big men in late January IIRC. And they've had some bad luck in the past with their best big man going down. I still think they would have been nasty the year after they got fucked hard at the end of that UNC Sweet 16 game if Sumpter was healthy.
