Overall great game by the Pack. Georgia Southern's 30 HR hitter only hurt us in the 1st. The best was getting him to pop up to center for the last out in the 8th. Danny his hitting his way onto the all-regional team. A couple of players started cramping near the end, but hopefully they will be ready to go tomorrow, hopefully for two.

SC observations: You can buy Cock Suckers at the concession stands. (The are officially called Gamecock Lollipops). We must have really pissed off some of their fans by beating them in the regional we hosted in 08 b/c some are nice to you and others cheer against us like we are Clemson.

Didn't we have to play South Carolina twice in two days when we hosted them?

losing the 1st game immediately makes it damn near impossible to advance. i think we can beat stetson, but im tellin yall...USuCk is legitimately a big time baseball team. cant stand em, but they are phenomenal and well rested. it will be tough.

GO PACK

NEVER GIVE UP

^^We beat USC on Saturday when we hosted, then beat them on Sunday in one game. No need for the Monday game. There was however a long rain delay on Sunday when we hosted in '08.

Every year there are a couple of teams that advance via the losers bracket, but usually they are the #1 seed. GT, UCLA, TCU, Rice, CS Fullerton, and Texas all have to win 3 in a row to advance.

^but you also need to score runs to win.

We stopped swinging the bat vs Clemson in the ACC tourney.

This is just typical NCST shit, lose to a program that prior to last week, I had never heard of.

Couldn't get breaks to go our way until late and looked like we couldn't field the ball 3 plays in a row. Draft is next week and any juniors are eligible. Pratt and Cory are very very likely gone and maybe a couple others will leave early, just depends on where they are drafted. I've heard some credible rumblings and I'm expecting some type of change in the off season. It might not be the one most people on here want, but I'll be shocked if everything is the same going into next year. At least I don't have to listen to any more South Carolina fans who think they are god's gift to baseball. I will try to post our draft picks and where our guys are playing summer ball. GO STATE!!!!

Not surprising. Cory's record didn't match his performance over the year. Rarely did we give him run support. Best of luck to Cory and Pratt going through the farm system.

Good situations for both the Dodgers have Barajas an aging average catcher and the Mets pitching is not that great. Possible for both to move up the ranks pretty quickly.

I think the conversion to wood will be easier than ever since they changed the BESR again. My only concern with Maynard would be his arm, he can swing it though.

I believe Pratt had never played catcher before coming to NCSU and did it to earn PT. IIRC he led the nation in walks last year so he obviously has a great eye.

Incoming recruits who got drafted and we might lose:

Brett Austin 1st round supplement 54 pick to SD - Catcher
Jason Creasy 8th round 1st pick to Pirates - Pitcher RH
Rodon 16th round - Pitcher (Sounds like he will go to state unless offered 750k+)

Anyone have a complete list of recruits I'm pretty sure two others have gone so far

From what I saw on Pack Pride it sounds like Rodon is going to come here unless its a huge signing bonus, the Brewers drafted him in the 16th round after calling him way earlier in the draft to see if they could get him to sign. I hope we get some of these guys to end up coming to State, we're losing a lot again this year.

I went to high school with Pratt and he was one of the best pitchers in the State, that's for sure.

He's stated that he's going pro and not coming to State. I'll see if I can find the article.
