what the fuck is this about mens shorts having a "right" length? Do women's shorts have a right length? When was this right length decided? Does the fact that longer shorts became popular change the picture? Is it right for everyone, or did you just find it right for yourself? What other are you wearing with these perfect length shorts?

I mean holy cow, if you walked into K-mart, bought one of their standard over-sized shirts, and tucked it into these knee length shorts, you would look like a marshmallow with legs. You got a style that makes these shorts work? I don't doubt it, but any simple reading of these posts that mention a right length comes out as garbled nonsense. In fact, the "right" length sorts probably aren't even for the majority of people out there.

I think a lot of these arguments are stupid. good length varies for everyone. How long are your legs compared to the rest of your body? do you have chicken legs or lineman legs? are you a hairy monster? what kind of look/functionality are you going for? I have many different styles of shorts for many different situations. Right now I'm wearing a pair of these, but that is because I'm going walking through the park later:

there's a difference between a tshirt you get for running a 5k and a nice tshirt from say jcrew

if you're wearing a short sleeve button up tucked into your trousers with a tie at work, then yes that's cheesy...otherwise it's pretty great in the summer
