The BB inventory checker was showing no local stores with touchpads when I checked earlier today now it's saying that the South Point BB has the 16GB and 32GB in stock, it's changed sometime in the past few hours.

I just called and their automated message said they didn't have any but I held for a real person anyway. The BB employee flat out told me "the website is lying, we don't have any"......I'm skeptical that the website would inadvertently change from unavailable to in stock but I'm not driving all the way to South Point to call them on their BS.

about the only real way is to go there and have them search their inventory on a computer for either of the SKU's and ask if you can see it. They don't have to but some will. They're also able to see if any other stores have any in stock or being delivered.

I got mine from Best Buy. Went Tuesday after seeing a spreadsheet saying the Garner store had shipments coming but was told they weren't getting any and not to believe anything on the internet (more like don't believe Best Buy reps cause they're clueless). Wednesday around lunchtime, someone on here posted that a friend's girlfriend worked there and they had them so I hauled ass over there. There were like 12 left when I got mine.

So for people that actually managed to get one...what are you using it for? The list of apps available is a joke. Barely any games at all. Nothing fun to do with it. No kids apps, I was thinking of giving it to my nephew cause he loves my iPad, but there's no apps for him to play with. Is everybody just using this for surfing/facebook/email?

^^ For me, it's an alternative to lugging around my laptop whether it be to the living room or when I go to my parents where I pretty much only browse the internet, check emails, etc. The apps are definitely lacking but maybe developers will see this as an opportunity. The only real thing I'm missing is some sort of remote desktop thing like logmein or phonemypc like I use on android. The refresh and login bugs in the web browser are a bit annoying but not really a deal breaker for a sub-$200 tablet

Opened up one to evaluate and familiarize myself with it:

Angrybirds HD is free, to my sons thrill.
Flash video works (ok) on megavideo.com, and other flash based sites, which by itself makes half the apps I would use worthless...

Overall, the interface definitely has some 1 ups on the ipad/droid ... and is well worth the $90 spent.
