Lebron is so damn good. I feel sorry for the Kobe and Jordan nutriders who aren't able to appreciate him.

^Tatum either sits or they go small and move Hayward to the 4 and Horford to the 5.

^Would be tough to trade Hayward right now coming off a major injury and foolish to trade Tatum.

I think it would be easier to trade Hayward than you think. He's a top 20ish player in the NBA and while his injury was gruesome looking, recovery from it shouldn't be nearly as problematic as something like an ACL tear or microfracture surgery.

I don't think they should necessarily trade either him or Tatum, but they should definitely poke around at some of the elite bigs in the league (Anthony Davis or KAT for example) and if they can flip Tatum/Hayward plus maybe Rozier & picks for one of them, they should do it.

The nostalgic MJ fans' latest reaction to Lebron's game last night is to claim that if he played in Jordan's era, he would be hospitalized / break down physically

I personally wouldn't put him in one for towns, but I'd do it in a heartbeat for Davis.

Ainge would never give up a player (and more importantly, contract) like Tatum

everyone else is more than likely on the table if Davis is available, though

As a person who fixes ankle fracture dislocations for a living, they can be no joke. Some people do well, but others always have some stiffness and need further surgery (arthroscopic, hardware removal, even fusion or total joint replacement in high energy trauma such as in a MVA or fall from a height). If the cartilage on the dome of the talus (the bone beneath the shin bone that allows your foot to go up and down) got damaged then he will likely not be back to anywhere near his old self for a very long time, possibly the rest of his career.

Man missing Chris paul is obviously huge but that was a top level choke/fluke by Rockets shooters. How many missed open 3s

(ill put the Harden 3pt shooting foul no calls here too)

As a Rockets fan, I would 100% want to keep this team together. Both teams healthy, Rockets are equal to the task. It's weird to see them push the Warriors to the brink and then lose after their second best player gets hurts, then conclude the experiment was a failure.

[Edited on May 29, 2018 at 12:11 AM. Reason : The Warriors won they have 2 mvps and the Rockets only have one plus 5/7's of a top 20 player]

I don’t think they’ll sweep unless they play differently than they’ve played all playoffs

they’ve been far too sloppy and Lebron will take advantage of that

Probably go 5 games, pretty amazing the Cavs roster relative to the amount of money they are spending to put that roster together.

I don't get why people don't bring up the math more often. GSW roster is an anomaly that was created by a series of circumstances that worked out in their favor. Curry having a light contract, big rise in the salary cap all at once and not slowly rolled in, and now once it is put together players willing to take the home town discount + utilizing the rules that are in place that allow you to keep your roster together/add pieces using exemptions etc.

Other than an owner being willing to just pay an obscene amount of luxury tax, or players willing to take non-max deals, how do you put together a roster that beats them in the next 2-3 years? Typically the GSW roster might break up because of players leaving for more lucrative deals but they seem content to stay put and make the math work, and they are making enough money for ownership to pay the luxury taxes. If you want to beat GSW, than LeBron, George, and CP3 should all go to the rockets and take contracts at like 20 mil a year. Then keep the pieces around. That makes the most sense to possibly challenge, and in Texas you avoid that income tax so that helps offset some.

But otherwise what is the scenario other than jumping on a team with young guys and hoping they'll cut it for a few years before they hit that point where they'll leave to go get max money somewhere. But ultimately the math just doesn't work because GSW "broke" the system and it is almost impossible to construct a roster through free agency to beat them.

If the Rockets lost CP3 but added LeBron, I would think they would be favored or even to beat the Warriors. LeBron is just that good. If they kept CP3 and added LeBron they would be favored I would think. Paul George would just be icing.

Now first things first, Rockets need to trick someone into taking Andersons contract.

^^^ Thing is rockets have a pretty good supporting cast, so if you added LeBron(with or without CP3) and I don't know all the math but I assume some of their strong role players would be lost.

The Rockets were close because of 2 stars and a really good supporting cast(at least for the system they run) and they could defend. A problem you'll run into even getting a big 3 together is how do you defend the GSW. You need guys that can rebound and play some defense and those guys aren't sitting around for the league minimum or they are like 39 years old. So you need to keep the rockets Roster and add LeBron(at that point maybe CP3 goes) or somehow keep that roster, and like get CP3 and George. Just a really big challenge to make it work because you are trying to chase and replicate something you really can't right now. Even now I'm already hearing in Houston it will be a challenge to keep their current roster together, much less make it better and they didn't beat GSW. It is like anytime you can get close you can't afford to keep the roster together to actually get to them.

Heard he might try out for the NHL without all of that skating practice he got in.

His guys were gassed and he needed someone to hit a three. Was probably thinking Anderson might be able to hit the open ones that everyone else was missing and maybe not get too abused to have it come out a net-positive. Can't really blame him for rolling the dice at that point.

Rockets really only need another 3-and-D guy and for Mbah a Moute to come back at full strength to give Capela a rest and add some fouls. They were at their best running 7-deep. They need to be able to run 9-deep to keep up with the Warriors for a 7 games series. Anderson and Joe Johnson do not fill the 3-and-D role at all. Don't know who will be available at what price next year, but they just need someone to fill that third spot on the bench.

Anderson might be the Rockets worst or 2nd worse (Nene) perimeter defender, of the regular season rotation. He made some strides on post defense this year but he should not be have been on the court with Curry.

Also when healthy, Mbah a Moute is that 3rd 3andD guy (4th with how well Gordon played)

I'm just saying that Dantoni didn't have much of a choice. We saw by the 27 missed threes that the Rockets were gassed. They needed help from the bench and Anderson is a good shooter. He was going to be a liability on the defensive end, but you just hope that it's not that bad and he can make a shot or two to stop the bleeding and hopefully give them a kick in the pants. It didn't work...but who else are you going to put in?

I think you play him when curry is out, if possible. If working let him stay and try when curry gets back in and remove him immediately if he's getting roasted. Don't experiment while curry is in. But I agree it's a tough ask either way.

i thought playing iso joe a little more could've been a good move - he has tons of playoff experience as a primary ball handler, isn't quite the defensive liability, and could've given harden/ariza/gordon a little more time to rest. but yeah, no great options with CP3 out.

TLDR: The accounts talked shit about a bunch of the 76ers own players (Okafor, Noel, and Embiid), other front office members (Hinke and Masai Ujiri), mentioned the 76ers would trade up for Fultz 1 month before doing so, and leaked personal injury information about Okafor.

The accounts also defended Colangelo’s shirt collars (seriously) and say that Coangelo "He is too classy to even engage. Worked with him: he is a class act.”

See, I told you Colangelo is an idiot. He keeps getting jobs because of his dad when's he's actually a terrible basketball executive. And apparently terrible at Twitter.
