The school shooting in Georgia involved a BB gun not an actual gun. The injuries were minor, and no gun control law currently proposed would have stopped that.

The whole glass on the door was broken and crashed onto the ground. You can imagine how deadly and brutal it was inside the room.

If there's no way to enforce a gun free zone with metal detectors at entrances, just take the signs down and make it like any other public place. Crazy people shoot up the gun free zones because they know people can't shoot back.

I was watching Avengers and very near the end of the movie, the movie stops and an automated alarm comes on that says "an emergency has been reported. Please exit the building"... my first thought was shooter. Turned out to be nothing and we resumed the move 5 mins later. Pretty weird feeling...

People were very eager to leave, I could imagine how more than a few people would have gotten trampled if they actually heard gunshots. I also realize even if I had a weapon on me and a shooter walked into the theater, it would be nearly impossible to shoot back at them without hitting other people in that situation.

UNCC is an insane school. When I worked there a decade ago, I also got some psychological issues and picked by ambulance to WakeMed. I was in bed for about a week and took rest for the whole following semester. Now it's getting even crazier.
