Hilarious goal line play calling there and some awful accuracy from Ben

The Brocketship loves Finleys IQ. Throws 3 unccatchable balls from the 2.

I’m good with the play calling. Not a single one of those throws was competitive
12/30/2022 1:30:35 PM
Can’t run the ball. Finley sucks.[Edited on December 30, 2022 at 1:32 PM. Reason : ^ 3 shots from the 2 yard line and we don’t even attempt a run]

Was Finley even a good HS qb? Half the balls he throws look like they slip out of his hand.
12/30/2022 1:33:40 PM
No, he was not. I looked up his stats/followed his games his senior year after he committed when people were saying he was going to be good. His senior year they went 5-5, losing their last 5 games after starting 5-0. They only beat 1 team with a winning record, the other 4 teams they beat combined for a 7-33 record(none of them won more than 2 games.) They got shutout 3 games in a row. That's not a thing that should ever happen with a legitimate division 1 QB in a football poor state like Arizona. He got a scholarship because of his brother. End of story.]

I think tanner ingle would call that targeting

I don’t know which thread to post in

6/12 on 3rd downs vs 3/11
12/30/2022 2:25:27 PM
Finley is so fucking bad
12/30/2022 2:35:42 PM
Finley playing his way back to the bench

I get that the run game has been ineffective but 11 rush attempts vs 35 pass attempts (with such poor success at the pass game too) just feels unacceptable. I don’t know what the solution is but throwing every play is clearly not working.

Defensively we’ve been dropping 8 a lot. And I understand trying to the contain the QB from scrambling. But it feels like we’ve been really conservative with blitzes today

Love to throw short of the sticks on 3rd down. Done that several times today.

Today is the 20th anniversary of NC State Football's greatest victory of all time!

Beating Florida State for the first time? Or beating Florida State at FSU for their first ever ACC home loss?

Payton Wilson announced he’s back for 2023…seems like a pretty big deal for a defense that’s otherwise losing a lot

I hope he stays at OLB and somebody else plays MLB

I think you could argue that it’s the high point of (modern) State football. I only say modern because I don’t know the high points from 50+ years ago.

I mean it was a cool game, but it was by no means the biggest win. That Notre Dame team wasn't really that good. I mean Tom O'Brien beat them in South Bend. A nice ending to an incredibly disappointing last month of the season.Like i said, i would argue that beating a #10 FSU team at their homecoming game for their first home loss ever in conference play was bigger than beating a ND team that got absolutely blown out in their season finale. FSU was still an absolute monster of a program at that point. ND had just fired it's coach the season before.]

Justin you’re doing that thing where you argue with no one again. It wasn’t the biggest or best win. We’re in agreement.

No, you're wrong

Probably the worst looking 8-5 team I've watched in my lifetime, and incredibly embarrassing season given the competition.I give DD a B- for his efforts in 2022.
