thanks...it's old navy...I really like their one piece halter tops
I'm think I may get another strapless suit this year again, there is a shop down the street that has a good selection of them and strapless is something that I have pulled off in the past...just can't wear it in the ocean
I really like this style...but not the polka dots

i totally want a onepiece this season. hopefully i will be in shape enough to wear a two piece by the time summer comes (i'm working on itttttt - but i just started). i have some 2 pieces but only like one that isn't kinda old and gross so i'd like to purchase another one and a one piece. but one of the one pieces i really liked was like over $100. that is a lottttttttttttt for a swimsuit!! 3/21/2010 9:20:29 PM |

i kinda like this for a bottom - or is it not cute? with a regular bikini top (not a tankini). i feel like it gives a little more coverage than boyshorts and is kinda cute? well at least on the model haha - i dunno if it is too mom like though. it comes in lots of colors.

what are some good sites that you all go to in searching for a new purse? i need something that is bigger (so like a tote) but will go with everything. i don't really ever bother changing stuff out of my purse, i rather just grab it and go. i currently have a coach carriage bag in a beige-grey color that i love but i want something more fun for this year. 3/21/2010 10:38:57 PM |

I am in love with fun dresses right now. I've sort of felt weird in the past wearing them out just to run errands on the weekend or whatever, but I decided I don't care anymore and will probably wear them all summer. I got some really cute springy floral ones at Charlotte Russe last week. That yellow one is adorable but I don't know that I could pull off that color with my skin tone ... not till I get a little tan going, anyway. 3/22/2010 10:20:36 AM |

do you have a good doctor out there for your PCOS? 3/23/2010 12:10:24 AM |
sawahash All American 35321 Posts user info edit post |
Well I went to one place and I told them about it and they were just like "eh whatever" and gave me a prescription for BC
I miss the place that I went to back in Hickory...it was great, I could get everything I needed there, all the tests needed and everything...but this place was like "well if you do a blood test you're gonna have to go take it at the hospital and they will send it to the lab"
Once my job picks back up and I can afford the several visits I'm gonna have to take when I get back to the doctor I'll shop around some more.
I'm just hoping that the weight I'm losing will help things out. I'm sure it will though. 3/23/2010 12:13:46 AM |
elkaybie All American 39626 Posts user info edit post |
Just throwing it out there...but maybe it would be worth it in managing your PCOS by driving to Greenville, Wilmington, or even Raleigh. I've got family out that way and as far as specialty doctors go (esp in OBGYN) they've gone elsewhere.
Don't settle for "eh whatever"
but yes, when your job picks back up and you can do your thing
and the weight loss should help

I need accessories, HELP! ] 3/23/2010 9:02:23 AM |
lucyinthesky All American 11614 Posts user info edit post |
With a dress like that, you can go simple with accessories. If you're wearing your hair pulled back, then pair the dress with cute, dangly earrings.
What I would probably do is wear the dress with a feather headband.
Do you have a clutch to go along with it? Something simple in a teal or gold? 3/23/2010 9:18:55 AM |

I'm thinking hair down and curly
I love the feather idea, do you have any examples?
I don't have a clutch, I would probably put my cell/id/cc in my bra.
I'm new at this stuff too, amna 3/23/2010 9:28:51 AM |
lucyinthesky All American 11614 Posts user info edit post |
^ No to cell phone in the bra! With a pretty dress like that, you don't want to detract from the look. Maybe you can borrow a simple clutch from a friend?
Feather headbands:

ooooo....I love the feather headband. I made one. I made it cheaper than if I were to buy it. I nominate lucyinthesky as the resident go to girl. 3/23/2010 9:36:49 AM |

egyeyes has awesome feather headbands that she makes IIRC and can totally hook you up with something like that! 3/23/2010 9:37:21 AM |

OOHHHH I like that, but would the feather look silly with my glasses? I'm always afraid of having too much going on. 3/23/2010 9:39:03 AM |
lucyinthesky All American 11614 Posts user info edit post |
Oooh! Yes, talk to egyeyes. Perhaps she should be the resident go-to girl. That's a lot of responsibility.
Also, if you just want a basic black clutch (a starter bag) but you don't want to spend a lot, just order something from Target: http://www.target.com/Clutches-Handbags-Accessories-Womens/b/ref=in_se_pagelist_top_1?ie=UTF8&searchView=grid5&searchNodeID=13456561&searchRank=salesrank&searchPage=1&searchSize=30 3/23/2010 9:39:42 AM |

i second the whole "black clutch" thing because hiding stuff in your bra is something my 60yr old grandma used to do
besides, you don't want someone to check out your rack and notice a cellphone antenna sticking out >.> 3/23/2010 9:41:16 AM |

Two options: 1) wear contacts or 2) go with a slightly smaller feather. I think the ones I posted would be an appropriate size, but don't go larger than that.3/23/2010 9:44:17 AM |
CassTheSass cupid 35382 Posts user info edit post |
agree with the black clutch. since you're wearing green shoes and possibly something in your hair, you don't want to be too matchy-matchy. plus black clutches can be used at anytime. i love my black cluthes (i have 3 or 4 of them). 3/23/2010 10:20:05 AM |
miska All American 22242 Posts user info edit post |
I'll go out and get a black clutch
Contacts aren't an option, and I'm definitely on the prowl for the feather headbands.
