carnival really isnt too big, but you'll come to hate that map. trailer park is even worse. fuel is huge, strike might be bigger.

Carnival looks awesome...some games you play are great...others are terrible...but I don't know the layout great yet, so I'm probably biased

I am beginning to like Trailer Park now that I'm becoming more familiar with the map...you can be successful with a running strategy...you can also have fun with n00btubes on the map...as well as play a close quarter combat / shotgun style match with all the trailers

Fuel can be fun if everyone is running around in the main building area, but too often it becomes a "who can get inside the rock and snipe" game since the glitch is so easy to do

Strike is lots of fun...great map from COD4...lots of ways to play this one...some big open streets and back alleys, as well as lots of buildings...great map overall

Carnival blows.

Trailer park is awesome with a running class and the spas-12.

Strike can be good but can become camper central.

Vacant is a shotgun/claymore whorefest.

Fuel isn't too bad until some idiot hides in the rock.

for my 88,888th post, even though its still a month or two away, supposedly the two COD4 maps for the 3rd downloadable map pack are

Crossfire




and

Pipeline



Crossfire is a good board...some good sniping spots, as well as some good CQC...the Diner is a good spot to setup shop for tube classes...the Restaurant is a good place to snipe back towards the Diner, and also towards the Downhill spawn...and you can also cut through all the buildings and behind some of them...lots of good paths to take on this map

Pipeline is a large grassy map good for sniping...was crazy for hardcore TDM in COD4...but if you don't want to snipe, there are other ways to play the map...Death Alley is as serious as it sounds, as you can get shot from multiple rooftops, from the grass knoll, etc...the Grassy Knoll is like it sounds, great sniping spot...the whole right side of the map is good ghillie suit terrain...the left side of the map is a little more run and gun

two fun maps overall though

MW2 is so good, because they took COD4 which was great, and improved it

Black Ops is still a mystery...I've seen the trailers but who knows about the online gameplay, etc

although I can see how someone who didn't play a lot of COD4 wouldn't necessarily want to pay for 5 'new' maps...but the old COD4 maps are the main reasons I buy the map packs

I don't know if I will waste my time with Black Ops. From the trailers I have seen I'm not really impressed with it. I guess I will have to wait and see what the rest of the T-Dubbers I play on there do.

ahh, gotta love getting the Chopper Gunner 15 seconds into the match (Invasion) tonight. Nothing like your entire team being confused as fuck while you mow motherfuckers down.

Sadly, I can never make it to the end of the match without dying. Tonight was a 36-6 game.

The rest I barely kept it above .500. I am slow when i am tired, it seems.

it's the opposite for me. i can't carry the shittiness of the randoms that play on xbox. they'll go like 2-20. so i prefer to play with these guys on here who at least can carry themselves or know when they are having a bad game and need to bust out the noob tubes

and i find i usually play bad when people are talking about irrelevant stuff over comms. so i just mute them if it's not gameplay related. no offense. my brain is just not wired (and neither is anyone else's) to listen to one thing and focus on something entirely different. i always go look at the scores of the people who were talking about stuff the whole match and they're always at the bottom. and not to my surprise, when they don't talk about random stuff, they're always in the middle or top

6 of us in a party could absolutely wreck people in Domination. I've been playing with some friends who actually coordinate; not really specific, just "let's take A & B, someone headed toward C, etc. If you hold two bases, you know where the other team spawns and you just spawn trap them and watch the kills rack up. So if there's a group that wants to give it a try, I think it'd be fun.

That being said, Domination with randos or ground war domination sucks balls.

i'd play some domination...

you have to be really objective oriented though. i don't care about my KD during domination matches. i just care about winning, whatever the rules of the game are. and that's usually why we lose ground war domination matches - because we just play them like big TDMs.

Im down for Domination as well as long as the team members tries to actually take objectives and not sit there and camp to keep their K/D up. I dont care if I go 20-20 if we win.

I also turn down the volume really low when you guys start talking about baseball and stuff...

I'm down for some Domination... my new headset has separate volume controls for the game and come so ramble on. I enjoy the banter even though it is distracting especially when I start out poorly and am trying to claw back.

Even better than muting you guys from time to time is muting the game's lobby music and keeping com up. That alone is worth the headset.
