And, good post tower. He has flaws as a coach. Nobody is mistaking him for a HOFer. As somebody who really likes Gott, I can't argue with anything in your post.

Huge win. He did everything he could to calm the team down once UNC went on their run. Deserves a ton of credit for that.

Loved the offensive strategy for the most part -- run the clock down, then ISO Cat and Lacey. Probably a good idea considering their length inside. But there were actually two in-game strategies that were huge:

-Calling the timeouts while UNC was making their run. The 3 timeouts (and 2 media timeouts) sucked the life out of UNC's comeback.

-Going to zone in the 2nd half when Paige left the game (meaning they had no one who could burn us from deep). Led to two turnovers IIRC and caught them off guard.

They said it's the most minutes he's played in a conference game. He was great defensively. Gave up no easy baskets. Was strong and tough on Meeks. Made some blocks, but his defense was much more than just blocked shots tonight.
