--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- World of Warcraft Client Patch 1.9.3 (2006-02-07)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Love is in the Air!
Are you looking for love? All of Azeroth soon will be! As winter
draws to a close the races are starting to seek that special someone.
Be on the lookout for amorous individuals! Put on that special
perfume or cologne, express your love, and receive gifts in return!
Prepare yourself... love will soon be in the air!

Mac
- Added native support for Intel-powered Macs such as the iMac (Core
Duo) and MacBook Pro. World of Warcraft is now a Universal
Application. Be advised that the minimum supported MacOS X version
has been changed to 10.3.9; World of Warcraft version 1.9.3 and later
will not launch on older revisions of MacOS X.

Battlegrounds
- The default graveyards in Alterac Valley for each side were moved
further up the tunnels away from the battlegroud exit. This should
prevent accidentally leaving the battleground.

Paladin
- Eye for an Eye - This talent will now still do damage when the
paladin is stunned. In addition, if the critical hit kills the
paladin, damage will still be dealt to the spellcaster.
- Greater Blessing of Sanctuary - Paladins with Righteous Fury will now
generate extra threat correctly when this Blessing procs.

Rogue
- Deadly Poison V - The charges were inadvertently not increased with
the new rank of the ability. Increased from 105 to 120 charges.
- Slice and Dice - This ability should no longer miss.

Warrior
- Shield Block - This aura will now correctly be removed when the
charges are all consumed. However, it is still possible when fighting
multiple opponents to get extra blocks due to technical restrictions.

Items
- Arcanist Gloves were not receiving the intended spell damage bonus;
this has been corrected.
- The Stamina and Intellect on Kezan's Unstoppable Taint were
inadvertently flipped; this has been corrected.
- The Enigma's Answer and Stormcaller's Wrath effects now have tooltips.
- The mana regeneration effect from food no longer causes threat.
- Quicksand Waders are now Bind on Pickup.
- The Slime-coated Leggings now have their proper nature resistance.
- Prophetic Aura, Mageblood Potion, Wizard Oils, and the Mana
Regeneration bracer enchant no longer generate threat for the wearer,
and should also provide the increased mana regeneration on normal
ticks instead of every 5 seconds.
- The Ancient Hakkari Manslayer has the proper icon again.

Professions
- The Engineering schematic for the Tranquil Mechanical Yeti now
requires a Cured Rugged Hide rather than Ice Thistle E'ko so that
both Horde and Alliance Engineers can make the recipe.
- Stormshroud Gloves are now Bind on Equip.

Quests & Reputation
- Grammar fixed for gossip associated with the quest "Trial of the Sea
Lion" in Moonglade.
- Fixed a bug with the quest "Glyphed Oaken Branch" that was having the
quest become available sooner than it should have.
- The reputation modifier of Squire Leoren Mal'derath has been reduced.
- Zandalar Tribe reputation rewards for killing mobs in Zul’Gurub have
been increased.
- Winterfall Spirit Beads and Deadwood Headdress Feathers now stack in
quantities of 250.

Raid & Dungeons
- Various bugs have been rectified in the Ahn'Qiraj dungeons.
Molten Core
* It should now be very difficult to remain out of combat while
fighting the bosses in Molten Core.
Zul'Gurub
* A small number of spawns have been removed from Zul'Gurub to allow
for a slightly faster clearing time.
* Increased cooldown on Poison Bolt Volley of High Priestess Mar'li.
* Slightly reduced the melee damage of High Priestess Mar'li.
* The vengance effect gained by the death of the raptor Ohgan during
the Bloodlord Mandokir fight has been increased in power.
* Reduced the overall damage of High Priest Thekal.
* Slowed the rate at which the panthers spawn during the High
Priestess Arlokk fight.
* Hakkar:
Melee damage reduced.
Cause Insanity should now correctly target Hakkar's current target,
rather than closest.
Cause Insanity will no longer remove all threat gained.
Reduced the damage dealt by Poisonous Blood Siphon.
Increased cooldown on Blood Siphon.
Gained an Enrage ability after 10 minutes in combat.
No longer has the Slow ability.
Corrupted Blood now deals direct damage with a following damage
over time effect and no longer spreads to others in the raid.
Fixed a bug that was causing Corrupted Blood to target the current
target rather than the intended random target.
* Increased duration of Poisonous Cloud emitted by Sons of Hakkar.
* Shades of Jin'do are now considered Undead.
- Slightly increased the movement of Lethon's Spirit Shades.
- Reduced the duration of Lethon's Draw Spirit from 7 seconds to 5
seconds.
- Fixed a bug that would cause Lethon's Draw Spirit to spawn two
spirits per person instead of one.
- King Gordok can no longer be seperated from Cho'Rush the Observer in
Dire Maul.

World Environment
- Royal Dreadguards, Undercity Guardians, and Ironforge Guards will now
detect enemy players at the same distance as the other cities' guards.
- Fixed a bug that would cause you to dismount in certain areas within
the Undercity.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- World of Warcraft Client Patch 1.9.2 (2006-01-11)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

General
- Characters should no longer appear to "pop" around terrain. Movement
should be smoother once again.

Yeah, here's the problem with Eye for an Eye. I have no problem with paladins getting someway to do damage to casters, however the fact that it is a 100% passive ability is complete and utter bullshit. NO other class in game can do that kind of damage passively. I've HIT myself with Eye for an Eye for upwards of a 1k, and the ability itself can crit. The real bullshit of it all is that even though it's holy damage, it crits like physical damage, doubling the damage instead of just a 50% increase like all other spell crits. It also crits based off the paladin's melee crit rate, not the spell crit rate, which means it crits a lot. That's simply too much damage to be able to do without any sort of input from the player. Add in the fact that it's only 15 points deep into the most popular of all the paladin talent trees, and you have the most bullshit ability in the game. If it worked like overpower or something, where the paladin had to a hit a button to activate it, and had it be on the universal cooldown, it would be perfectly balanced. As it stands its just more proof that everyone at blizzard plays paladins. /rant

Look, I'll be the first to admit that a DPS paladin is the biggest joke in the game, but passive damage is still bullshit anyway you slice it.

lol, you have no fucking idea. Everyone knows that Blizzard coddles the hell out of the horde. Paladins can't do DPS and blizzard finally gives them an ability which gives them a CHANCE to kill the mages and warlocks that normally own them. Boohoo go cry some more.

Hordies: Waaaaaaaaaah!!! Paladins can lower threat for party members!
Blizzard: Its ok baby. We'll give you special totems to do the same because, heaven forbid, there be some sort of PvE advantage for the alliance.

Compare Will of the Faggot (WotF) to Escape Artist (EA) and say that the alliance is favored.

Or hell, just compare a Shaman and Paladin. Neither dies, but only 1 can do DPS.

1) The Devs admitted that Paladins were designed to be the easiest class.

2) There's a big difference between increasing DPS and giving a passive ability that causes castor's to damage themselves. In case you're wondering, passive abilities require no thought or skill.

3) Mages and Warlocks may own shit Paladins, but no really good paladin should ever die to any warlock or mage. If he does, then he should uninstall and stop playing video games.

4) NE Shadowmeld > WoTF. Again, I'm sure alliance doesn't agree because a raid of 40 of em couldn't PvP out of Durotar, but its a known fact. OH NOES, I CAN WoTF OUT OF DIMINISHING RETURNS BASED FEAR! Shut the fuck up.

5) This game wasn't designed with PvP in mind at the start. However, without PvP it would be unplayable and terribly boring. Carebear more please.

hey, noones fault but your own if you feel you need to get your internet rocks off by thinking your omfpwning someone. whine more please.

They should do more situational PvP. The game is obviously designed around the classes working together to defeat an otherwise invincible foe. So why not have the battleground mimic that. Have the horde storming an alliance capital where there are far more horde, but the alliance get the benefit of being bunkered in...and set some time limit that can measure the degree of success by both teams. Something like that.

Hell a BG where the Alliance and Horde have to work together against the AQ pests or Seargeras' demons would be cool too.

DoT locks may not win, but DD ones should. The only time I have lost against a pally is when I had anything but a Felhunter out.

Oh noes!!! An ability that is only useful for camping flags in boring BG's that, as you have said, is fake PvP? Man, I sure wish that you could do something like AoE the area to reveal them . . .
Its an ability only useful in real PvP to hunters that use pets to get the jump on ppl. Get over it.

And WotF + Trinket makes UD immune to anything a warlock can do. Not to mention all the macros out there that allow it to be instantly dispelled so the person wont even notice you cast a spell.
Blizzard: Oh, poor babies! If a warlock is skilled, has a succubus, and times it right they can still hold you once? THATS NOT COOL. Lets just put seduce and fear on the same timer so that UD can't have anything done to them. :coddle coddle coddle:

Uhhh. What? Nobody goes and AOE's random flags and all NE hunters use shadowmeld to get a jump on people. You're terrible at this game if you don't see how important 1 free Aimshot is in an encounter.

What are you relying on seduce and fear in PVP anyway? If you're demonspec then someone breaking your seduce isn't a terribly big deal and you deserve to die for relying on it. In fact, unless you have really nice +dmg gear and skill, you shouldn't be pure demonspec as a pvp lock. If you're not demonspec and you're rolling around with a succubus then ignore the rest of this argument. Its over your head.

As for fear, you use Fear to crowd control, not to kill. I can think of three builds off the top of my head that can be competive in group PVP that would never have to rely on fear.

Furthermore, I don't why I'm even having this discussion with you. Your entire line of bitching revolves around a talent which has to be activated and has a cooldown.

The Paladin ability is passive and has no cooldown.

Yes, that's why we have zepplin's which cause Durator to crash every 2 minutes because the servers can't handle more than 5 people zoning in at a time. Whereas alliance have the tram, which is instanced. That must also be why alliance have been able to mount in Ironforge from day one yet we just got the ability to mount in Undercity last patch. Fear ward makes any boss that can fear a trivial encounter for alliance. Blessing of salvation makes any encounter with a non-tauntable boss trivial. 2 classes that can dispel vs. 1. I could go on but I think I've made my point.

Hehe, it's not even a guild. We have 3 major guilds, and maybe a few from other minor guilds... Chaotic democracy. Works alright though, we're killing Nef now, and no major loot drama usually.

Ok, I suppose a druid (not me) getting Mish'undare is a bit strange... but none of the casters really wanted it, so our balance druid took it.

Yes, an ability which, through the wonders of computers can be instantly activated as though it was passive. That in correlation with another item, ie a common trinket that everyone has, makes them effectively immune.

Quote :
"What are you relying on seduce and fear in PVP anyway?"

I dont. I have felhunter out 100% of the time. My point is that UD characters were completely immune to fear and that you COULD use a succubus to still trip them up if you timed the WotF immune effect properly. But now you cant and there is nothing to do against a race that 75% of horde roll (or at least play in PvP).

Quote :

Holy shit you make a shitton of broad assumptions. My build is 0-8-43. Half of the reason is because of all the immunities to fear. Against a UD rogue, I dont even try to fear. Its mostly them stunlocking me till about 10% life then me finally getting a deathcoil off and nuking them for a hopeful win. That gives about 50% success.

Quote :

That doesn't make it passive at all. Passive talents are on all the time and don't have cooldowns. With a trinket + WoTF a UD player has two fear breaking items affecting at most two fear spell casts.

I'm sure all 5 alliance warlocks are losing sleep over this.

A palading with that passive talent has the potential to affect every attacker with no limitation other then proc. Learn2comprehend please.
