The way to beat Indiana is with a disciplined half-court offense and tight zone D that collapses on Zeller and Oladipo. We aren't capable of that.

Yeah, the A10 looked pretty legit yesterday -- St Louis, Butler, and holy lord VCU (88-42?).

Last time I saw Temple play, they were beating VCU. If we play at their pace, could be a long afternoon.

Is anyone else disturbed by how poor the team was defensively this season? It never improved and it was on full display in the 1st half of the Temple game. This team simply never bought into playing hard on the defensive end. I hope it was just the team and not the coaches, but I am concerned about next season too.

overall I'm happy with the season, we had a decent finish and made the NCAA. that won't always be enough, but we are still making progress. i like the freshman coming in and hope that the returning players can work on some things to improve, I'm looking forward to next season.

I wouldn't worry about finishing "top #" next year.

We'll have syracuse which will be a guaranteed perma-ranked team, and pitt as well. Essentially we will become the new big east, but with more opportunities for quality wins, we will become a 5-6 NCAA bid conference.

we needed to not go backwards this year. we did.

we didnt need to go back to the s16 but there needed be other accomplishments. a top finish in the acc regular season. ranked all year. acc championship. ncaa tourney run.

those are the boxes. we ticked none of them.

not that happy with the season overall, but i'm not going to let it ruin my weekend/life crying about it. we had some great wins and i am not going to act like i wasn't excited about our chances to win the acc/ncaas.

a lot of you want to blame this season on one big, singular, identifiable cause, but there really isn't. it's a huge host of intertwined things that ultimately led to being close, but not close enough.

first of all, our players aren't as talented as people assumed, and they didn't progress throughout the season. couple that with attitude problems, lack of defense, lack of fundamentals, lack of team work/chemistry (last year's team was WAYYYY better in this department), injuries, transfers/lack of depth, inability to adjust to officiating/opponent's play (you CAN blame a lot of this on Gott), and a bunch of good ole' NC State shit, and there you have it:

24-11 (4th/5th in ACC, and a 1st round, early exit in the NCAAs to an A-10 team)

I guess in the end after Lowe I said I'd be happy with getting back to making the tourney every year so I can't complain too much. I just hate seeing a team waste potential and underachieve. I suppose in the grand scheme of things this year wasn't terrible but I think going forward this will prove to be the season we look back on and say we could have turned the corner as a program but instead we fucked it up and headed back towards mediocre status

My expectations for this team were to finish top 3 in the AAA, get to at least the semis of the ACCT & win the games we should win in the NCAA tourney (or essentially, don't get upset)

I feel like those were pretty reasonable expectations for this team
