Ok, my last bitching post about jobs right now. Why the fuck do all these damn sites make you do online resumes instead of just uploading your pristine working functional resume in Word? It's so god damn annoying and I waste more time on it than I do using this stupid website. There is ONE job I want to apply to at this site that was sent to me and I have to go through a fifteen step process BEFORE I even apply to it.

And don't get me started on the State of NC application which you have to fax. Ok, I'm done bitching now.

^^ I KNOW!!! it is really irritating. a lot of jobs i've applied for have their own resume builder on the site which is really fucking annoying OR they want you to copy/paste your word resume into a text box which then ends up looking really retarded and has to be reformatted and nothing can be bolded or bulleted. and some of the copy/past text box things are NOT long enough for my resume (which is only one page) so i have to take stuff out.

A sizeable majority of the listings on USAjobs are for federal employees that were already selected for that position. The number of open jobs actually available in the federal government is skewed because all government positions have to be advertised for a certain period of time, even when the ideal candidate is already selected for those jobs.

If you want a federal government job, look at the GS-5/7/9 level and apply heavily around there. There are pretty much no jobs in the federal government that you can just walk into anywhere besides entry level (my opinion). You've got to learn to put up with the soul-crushing bureaucracy before they'll promote you and give you a higher paying job.

Also, pizza will be hurrr sooooooooooooooooooon.

ok - off topic - but what does it mean when you peep someone? i spoke with someone this weekend who used "peep" repeatedly in conversation. example: "i know you peep me on this" OR "peep you later"

which leads me to suspect it has multiple meanings.

"peepin" or to examine

well the new medicine is capable of doing such and if it does, then you are supposed to remove it. I just removed both and gave him some Imodium- after he shit the floor again
