I really can't stand some of my family.
It boggles my mind that some families LIKE each other. It's so foreign to me!

If you're that damn concerned about childcare for a 15-30 minute family meeting, how about you tell your sister-in-law, who very publicly takes the stance of "I don't trust my husband to grab the stuff of his parents that I want, so I insist that I come, and thus, my 10yo, 6yo, 2yo, and newborn. All of whom must be watched because ME getting my husband's cultural inheritance is more important than letting him handle his family affairs is more important than watching our BC failures. And no, I won't watch them because I'm an ADULT and so I get to be in this meeting!" to just stay her cranky, bitchy, post-partum ass home.

My parents aren't really mentally stable or sound. Especially now, with all this. My sister is being WONDERFULLY rational and mature for her age, and tolerating some very serious stressors in an exemplary manner. And you want to exclude her (the best person to be present for this meeting from dad's branch of the tree) SO SHE CAN WATCH OFFSPRING OF AUNTS WHO HATE US BECAUSE WE DONT GO TO CHURCH?
