In a breakthrough that brings the technology of futuristic film "The Matrix" closer to reality, scientists say they have cracked part of the brain's own computer code.
A team of neurology experts from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) say they have deciphered brain waves used in the recognition of visual images.
The development, reported in the journal Science, is reminiscent of the cult sci-fi film in which Keanu Reeves "jacks" into a computer system using a cable hardwired to his brain." |

Quote : | "Police Hit Grandmother With Taser Gun Five Times
FRANKLIN, Ohio -- A 68-year-old woman was hit with a Taser gun by police in an Ohio city five times.
The police officer in the case, a lieutenant with the Franklin Police Department, claims he is the victim in the case, NBC 4's Mike Bowersock reported.
Beverly Kidwell, 68, was in the waiting room of the police department in suburban Dayton when the incident occurred.
According to police, she came into the station to be arrested for hitting her granddaughter.
Kidwell said she waited a long time in the lobby and, when she got up to leave, the officer hit her with the Taser gun.
"I don't know if he thought I was going to get up and leave or what, but he pulled his gun. I thought it was a gun. I'd never seen a Taser gun in my life and I thought, 'Oh my God. He's going to shoot me. He's going to kill me," Kidwell said.
The police lieutenant said she was resisting arrest, Bowersock reported.
Kidwell said she was in a fetal position and unable to move when the lieutenant ordered her to get up and continued to shock her.
The woman survived five jolts and had to be taken to an area hospital." |
Awww. Our police are so loving. And incidents like this with police tasering children and old ladies happen all over the country all the time. Now, we have police shooting and killing people on planes for no reason. The militarization of our police is really paying off. This is all so good.

No. It's completely relevant. It shows the tactics you and others employ against those who dare to question the government or the MSM. If you question the "official story" (even if you're right like in the case of Iraq's WMDs), you're smeared with labels like "douche", "idiot", "nutjob", or "crazy conspiracy theorist" by brainwashed bush supporters, shills, and others. It's smear tactics that appeal to emotion and are designed to stop rational discussion on the issues.

Paul Joseph Watson & Alex Jones | December 11 2005
Former Republican Congressman and CIA official Bob Barr says that there is a danger recent developments describe a trend of America slipping into a totalitarian society and that the Bush administration are doing everything in their power to see that this happens.
During a radio interview with host Alex Jones, Barr outlined where the country is heading.
"Basically, as long as you smile when you demand to see somebody's ID at gunpoint sitting on a bus I guess it's OK for the government, that's sort of the way they operate. It can be a totalitarian type regime."
"I think it's a real danger where we have the military becoming involved in all sorts of domestic matters and we have the government being able to seize very private personal records on people without any suspicion that they've done anything wrong. This is a dramatic turn of events that has accelerated greatly since 9/11."
Barr made comments very similar to those of current Republican Congressman Ron Paul in stating that natural disasters could be used by the government as a pretext to abolish posse comitatus.
"If we have the military involved whenever there's a windstorm, rain or tornado then what we are doing is that we are undermining the entire basis on what our constitutional representative democratic form of government was founded."" |

A conference report by Senate and House negotiators to extend for four years provisions of the USA Patriot Act includes a comprehensive anti-methamphetamine package restricting the sale of products containing ingredients needed to cook the drug and providing new tools to police and prosecutors to combat dealers. Sens. Jim Talent, Missouri Republican, and Dianne Feinstein, California Democrat, said the Combat Meth Act -- together with anti-meth measures championed in the House -- were included in the Reauthorization Conference Report filed Thursday. I understand and believe what you are saying, Salisbury. The Patriot Act is being used to punish "undesirable" acts. Heavens forbid, people ingest into their bodies what they want, can't have that. That might endanger the legal drug industries (alcohol and tobacco). And I still can't believe that there has been such a small amount of resistance to the Real ID act. It's as if people just don't care. I'm wondering if it's time to consider leaving the US altogether.

Teams of undercover air marshals and uniformed law enforcement officers will fan out to bus and train stations, ferries, and mass transit facilities across the country this week in a new test program to conduct surveillance and "counter potential criminal terrorist activity in all modes of transportation," according to internal federal documents.
According to internal Transportation Security Administration documents, the program calls for newly created "Visible Intermodal Protection and Response" teams -- called "Viper" teams -- to take positions in public areas along Amtrak's Northeast Corridor and Los Angeles rail lines; ferries in Washington state; and mass transit systems in Atlanta, Philadelphia and Baltimore. Viper teams will also patrol the Washington Metro system." |

Militarized Federal Police All Over The Streets With The Precedent to Kill
Steve Watson / Prisonplanet | December 15 2005
The latter half of this year has seen a significant shift. For a long time we have been reporting that Martial Law is coming to America. We do not believe this to be the case anymore. Unfortunately this is because IT HAS ARRIVED.
So many individual incidents have contributed towards the shift towards a police state and away from freedom in America and across the globe.
With the reports of December 14 stating that VIPER Teams are to Patrol Mass Transit Facilities, we can no longer hold back and suggest that we can prevent martial law from happening. We now have to progress with the peaceful revolution of information in order to OVERTURN the police state.
The Associated Press reported that Federal air marshals are expanding their work beyond airplanes, launching counterterror surveillance at train stations and other mass transit facilities in a three-day test program.
This involves Federally brainwashed goons stomping round with machine guns and vicious dogs, getting in everyone's face and randomly grabbing and searching people on the subway.
[...]
The move into martial law comes one week after the incident in Miami where reportedly mentally unstable man Rigoberto Alpizar was gunned down on board American Airlines Flight 924 for "saying he had a bomb".
[...]
The incident has uncanny parallels with the murder of Charles de Menezes by British undercover police one day after the supposed aborted second London bombings on July 22nd.
[...]
The two separate events set a precedent: YOU WILL FALL DIRECTLY INTO LINE should the military police deem your behaviour suspicious and wish to question you because if you don't they will KILL YOU.
[...]
Last month we reported that Miami cops are to stage sieges, randomly check ID's, ride buses and trains and stop anyone they choose for no reason.
The Miami model is the very definition of a pervasive police state based on the fear of terrorists and the fear of being identified as a terrorist if you do not comply with every demand, no matter how much it brutalizes every notion of what it is to live in a free society." |
