NOTE: the twin theory article has not been connected to the real life mathematician it was attributed to, I do(and you should) consider it "semi-official" lore of the lost continuity. (fitting in with things like the driveshaft website)

Yeah, was gonna say it could still make sense if this episode and the next one are continuations of Man of Science, Man of Faith.. but they have different names. But keep in mind as well that the script also takes place after Jack leaves the hatch... they might have added more to the episode.

ok so the preview......it seems that Ana Lucia (Michelle Rod.) and her end of the plane folk have been held captive by the others.....could be they have been for quite some time. maybe that's why the people from the front of the plane never ran into the people in the back of the plane sooner

I just don't see any good reason for the shark to have the brand on it.. if the reason it has it is due to goverment testing, then why would it be out in the water rather then in quarantine? Same goes for the polar bear if it did have the symbol on it (I don't think it did, I'm sure it would have been noticed back then).

Also, what does the symbol mean? According to this: http://www.bartlettdesigns.com/fengshui-baguaoctagon.html... it makes no sense Unless Desmond practices feng shui.

the halucination led them to the caves, where he discovered that dear papa was not on the plane.

I thought it was an excellent episode tonight. I like revealing new detail through the same section of time in the story, ands a new dimension to it.

The others looked like some crazy mofos. Will be interesting to see Jack and crew pwnt them WAR!

The numbers are a counter for something, who knows what. something has gotten out on the island and made people sick, probably what he is taking the shot to keep himself safe from. Hence the voices??

I just looked through Pilot, Part 2 for a symbol on the bear, and I couldn't find one. But then, he is a big furry guy, if it were tattooed on there, we wouldn't see it. Also, he do not get a good look.

just because Jack's father wasn't in the box doesnt mean that he isn't on the island. it is possible the body had been thrown during the crash

OH, something else I noticed while watching:
if tonight's interweaving acurately reflects the timeline, then Kate and Walt were both snatched within moments of each other
AND, if that is true,
then Walt appeared to Shannon before he was kidnapped (which seems to be a weak link in this theory)
