is it just me, or is anyone else baffled at the recent influx of mental midgets on craigslist? the place is all but ruined. i swear there should be some sort of test before you're allowed to post an ad. i'm amazed they make it past the image verification. i'll be it takes a few tries though...

Haha, yeah I think it's illegal to remove the stuff without paying for some ridiculous disposal fees or something. We had some asbestos afflicted linoleum flooring type crap at our beach condo a while back, and we were told it was illegal for us to tear it up. We could entomb the stuff but I think we pretty much had to leave it alone unless we wanted to call in a "specialist".

wow, this is a TON of car for a pretty reasonable price, in my opinion. If I had a good way of transporting it to NC, and if I were willing to buy something like that before I get back from Iraq and before I find out for sure that my daughter and her mother will be moving to NC (thus necessitating at least one vehicle with a backseat), I'd probably let it follow me home.

what's the wreck/damage history on it?

1 lowside by previous owner and 1 by me

i'm a little wary of buying one that's been wrecked, as it's hard to tell if the frame, forks, or swingarm got bent at all.
(I was trying to get the details of the lowsides...hoping he'd say "yeah, they were both on track, just slid, ended up in the gravel/grass")



but no, he came back with these 2 emails:

btw this is a killer deal just the race parts(ie aftermarket)parts on this bike = a couple thousand dollars. I you are looking for a perfect zx6r expect to pay 5to $6000 if you dont understand this then please dont post again

look, i've had a number of motorcycles. i've been riding for nearly 10 years. my grandfather was a BMW and Ducati dealer. I rebuilt a GSX-R after damaging it severely at Deal's Gap. I don't need a perfect 6R, but I have seen bikes that had a slightly tweaked fork, for example, that were rideable, and looked fine, but they didn't feel quite right. In addition, a lowside most certainly is a wreck, and you shouldn't be telling people "it hasn't been wrecked, it was lowsided." I know what you mean, but there are plenty of new riders who don't. If it just slides, no, it doesn't generally hurt anything other than plastics and maybe mirrors and levers, but it's still a wreck, and depending on how it comes to a stop, there can be more damage. if you've done much racing, that's not news to you.

Oh, and I was giving some serious thought to buying it right up until the part where you started being a smartass prick.



Now I'm debating on whether or not I should flag his ad. His ad isn't dishonest, but I have a problem with "it hasn't been wrecked, it was lowsided." I know the difference, but there are plenty of people who don't. Am I overreacting?
