i live near moses cone hospital in gboro. atleast when i die i won't be that far away from the morgue (ps don't google morgue either..its gross)

now i figured out what the numbers on the bottom of the weather channel screen are...coordinates of the storm. well GREAT let me take out my protractor and a map.

you can type longitude and latitude into google maps? well i'm not tornado'd yet. but there ARE 60-70mph gusts of wind. sweet. AND there are more storms coming according to the radar. they're coming until like later tonight. just a big string. but it looked like they might go a little to the east so...whatev.

i just worry because i live in a condo on the top floor therefor, i have no inner closet or stairwell to take shelter in. no one lives on the bottom floor (like there aren't condos on it, its just an entrance). so i'm not entirely sure what i'd do. there's an old basement laundry room like all the way on the otherside of this courtyard thing but i'm guessing a tornado is not a good time to spring across a courtyard.

haha i'm calm i just like to have a GP incase i have to act quickly (cause i'm not good at that...i get distracted and i'd probably try to like bring a bunch of shit with me like clothes and stuffed animals instead of running to a closet). but it is gone now. they said some other ones might be coming, but i think the scary ones are gone. now its just a thunderstorm, but it was a little freaky deaky for awhile.

theres a lot of wind. some hail. thunder. lightening. but mostly wind. bewareeeee of the wind.

the basic moral of my story tonight is, i need a geography lesson. my 20ish years in raleigh sortof left me clueless about the rest of the state. i know greensboro is in guilford county, but when they say random places like pittsylvania i'm like, ok p-i-t-t....and by the time i look it up i'm already in the middle of the storm.

AND btw, my man on the weather channel just said one down two to go or something. looks like more storms coming up thru SC but hopefully they will go east and not west. sorry, raleigh.
