it's not as if i don't go to the games, or don't support the team. but if you ask me 'hey, are you cool if we settle for one win in the tourney each year, and play some shit bowl that no one gives a fuck about each year?' i think the answer is obvious. not b/c i feel like we, as a university, deserve more, b/c no one deserves anything. but i think that we, as a university with the facilities that we have are capable of more given a coach that believes and has the ability, so why not pursue those coaches?

the point is, when it's obvious that your current status is bad and you think it could be good, why would you want to stay at bad?

and btw, don't tell me we can never ever compete w/ carolina in basketball, b/c sidney lowe just did it, with much less talent. sidney lowe = a coach that believes and has the ability, watch out for him. as much as it may piss you off, a lot of people get the feeling that in a few years we may actually be good. i know, just the thought alone is terrible.

Making the NCAA tourney in basketball should be huge for our program, we are not Duke or UNC, yet people bitch that we dont make the elight 8 or the final 4. Thats why Herb is gone. We bitch about football because we cant even get ranked, yet most people dont realize we dont deserve to be ranked. Just be happy with who we are and don't expect the unreachable.

I'm not mad that we lost last night. I'm disappointed that we came out so hot and looked like a middle school team for the last 15 minutes, but you cold tell that our legs had left us late in the first half, and with GT playing 7 or 8 guys, we had no chance late in that game. Atsur hit a brick wall early in the second half, and although I thought GT got away with some holds and other physical fouls late in the game, I dont think thats the reason we lost.


I'm proud that we came out on fire because I was sure taht we'd lose that game in the first 10 minutes (letdown game). Sidney showed that he can turn the guys around after a big win, and I'm positive that if we had 7 players as good as our best 4 (when they're all healthy), that we would have had no trouble winning that game last night.
