Package Ladd, Kaberle, and somebody else for a true top pairing defenseman now IMO. I love both of those guys, but I have suspected for a couple years now that Ladd may never really work in this system. I know he is still very young and the injuries have kept him from being consistent, but I feel like his value may be at its peak right now. And Kaberle, well, I still love you buddy, but this just isn't working out anymore. I know Erik Cole was always the rumored forward going back in a trade, and it would make sense in a lot of ways, but it becomes clearer and clearer every day that without him, some guys on this team are just lost (see: Staal). I guess Commodore is probably a more likely player to go in a trade than Kaberle given his contract status.

Staal has always been lost whenever Cole isnt there to spread the ice. Staal needs Cole because he creates so much space and so many scoring ops. Staal has never been one to create. I would say Commodore is more likely to go and has more value.
