I, too, think the music round was bogus.

What's so wrong with having nominally obscure songs, rather than completely obscure...and we had some pretty varied people on our team. Also, the whole premise was a bit confusing. Did not like.

^^^I'm sorry, but NONE of those songs were terribly obscure. If three (or more) teams could name 60%+ of the songs and artists without issue, then there's no reason to get bent out of shape and claim naivety.


Especially when you're gifted easy ones like "A NIRVANA SONG" which was obviously meant to prompt "THE DUDE FROM FOO FIGHTERS" for an easy extra 2 points, or when samples were purposefully chosen to reveal the name of the song - "Ask the Angels" for example, which was repeated at least 3x.


I went out of my way to make sure that every song had at least one clue - whether it was the name of the actual song in the sample used, an obvious artist, or just a song that every red-blooded american should know (Poison).


All I can say is that if you struggled with that round, I'd suggest opening up Pandora and listening to something other than what comes on Top40 radio.
