Samsonov is a goal away from blowing up. Or being a bust. What's going on with him.

^^ Some guy (I think from the Canes Country boards) always calls in after games referring to Chad LaRose as the Chuck Norris of hockey.

I guess it's true, he can really only score in overtime. He's got to be one of the most clutch overtime defenders ever for scoring. I know he is pretty high up the list in career playoff overtime winners amongst Defenders and probably pretty high on players with at least 3.

He should be thrown into the Norris contention too with those numbers haha.

He's 5 points behind Shea Weber, who has to be the front runner after watching him and Ryan Suter are tearing it up in Nashville. Though Wallin wins the plus/minus war by a solid +5!

Wallin and Seidenberg have been the MVPs for me of this young season, the two have shown great chemistry especially with everyone going down. Who would have thought at the beginning of the year that Wallin and Seidenberg combined after 12 games would combine for 14 points. That's just crazy, especially when Corvo has just 4 points (maybe more after tonight, idk). But that's crazy.

Go 'Canes! And the Capitals lost tonight in OT, so we put another point between us and them!

Quote :
"Paul Strand, Youth and Amateur Hockey Coordinator for the National Hockey League’s Carolina Hurricanes, today announced that the Bantam Jr. Hurricanes AAA won the Bauer Division of the Nike/Bauer Tournament held in Chicago from Oct. 31 to Nov. 2. The team, coached by former professional goaltender Richard Shulmistra, went 6-0-1 in the tournament and defeated the Chicago Young Americans 6-3 in the final game. Junior Hurricanes player Wyatt Sexton was named the tournament’s Most Valuable Player and goaltender Sean Romeo was named the tournament’s best goaltender.

This marks the first time a North Carolina-based team has won the prestigious Nike/Bauer Tournament – the largest youth tournament in the United States. The annual tournament attracts the top 40 ranked teams from the United States, Canada, Russia and other European countries. All three Jr. Hurricanes teams – Pee-wee, Bantam and Under-16 – made it to the final day of the tournament and the playoffs, posting a combined 11-3-3 record."

I love the Scott Walker is please picture, makes me laugh every time I see it.

So glad Walker and Bayda are back together again, hopefully Lavi gets the win. His win number was featured on sportscenter tonight too. Hopefully we can win this game and put some separation between us and the Craps.
