I keep going back and forth about whether to get the PS3 version or the PC version. I like the PS3 version from a technical standpoint particularly the split screen options. However, most of my friends are getting the PC version which means I won't be able to play with them online unless I get the latter.

it doesn't really matter where you are in line with GameStop. Their system works great they make everyone pre-pay in full before 12am and when 12am rolls around the lines gone in 10 minutes regardless of how long it is.

need some opinions here. would this game be enough to warrant going out and buying an xbox360 new and learning to make the transition from PC to console? at least for this particular FPS. i just don't want to regret buying it for the PC when i feel i may be better to just buy the xbox and learn the controller and have a better experience on that.

^^ i pretty much did that when i first bought WaW. Except i made the switch to the ps3. didn't take me very long to get used to the controls, and honestly, i came to love console gaming a lot more after a while.

Yeah, i just meant that they make you pre-pay before 12am. So when you get there at 11pm or whenever they'll ask you to go inside the store and pay any remaining balance so when 12am rolls around they just have to hand you the game. This is why the line moves very quickly and the only real waiting is done for 12am to get here.

from what i've gathered you can equip a "care package" killstreak reward that will be a random reward up to that kill # that you have personally unlocked. So if you have 5 killstreak and send for a package it could be UAV or airstrike randomly. If you don't get to it in time the enemy or another teammate can take it and use it.


the computer is used to call in or control all air support. It's used to mark airstrikes or stealth bombers, or if you have the gunner reward you "transport" to the apache gunner by way of the computer to control it for a certain amount of time. Any time you are on the computer you are vulnerable and defenseless to the other team if they spot you

OK, so unlike COD4, you have to actually get the package and "use it". it isn't automatic.

What happens if you get one of the cruise missiles or helo/ac and then get killed, do you lose it before you use it?

^only if you have the care package reward selected. This game you get to select which killstreak rewards you want for yourself. you can have 3.

if you have 3-kill UAV reward selected then at 3 kills you'll automatically get the UAV and then activate it like you are used to.

only if you have a care package reward selected will you have to toss the smoke signal then wait for the package and then activate it.

and no, if you die before using your reward you will still have it. at least from everything that i've seen. Also, it seems that you will maintain all your KS rewards instead of losing say the 5 kill for the 7 kill (losing artillary at 5 b/c you didn't use it and then got 7 for the dogs, now you will be able to use both when you choose)
