Schefter just tweeted there are disagreements in Tebow's contract that might prevent him from going to the Jets, saying St. Louis would be the next stop

What are the Jaguars doing? Trade for Tebow now, suck for a few years and hopefully build the team into a winner through the draft. Release Tebow once the team is rebuilt. Having Tebow is the only thing that will save the franchise over the next few years.

^^ I agree Tebow and MJD could do some damage together and the Jaguars could probaly fill their stadium up with Gator fans

Ok, I can maybe see them passing on him the first time around.

But to do it a second time is just god damn fucking retarded on their part.

I hate Tebow and everything he stands for. I think he is a horrible QB and hope he dies a death of fire, but from a business standpoint the Jags have to get the guy.

If they don't trade for tebow, it shows the owner really wants to bolt for LA.

It's obvious the J E T S are content with being a 3 ring circus trying to steal headline from the other NY teams and have no intentions of winning anything.

And just to be clear... the Broncos had to give the Jets their 4th round pick, correct?

i lol'd at some parts of this article http://www.charlotteobserver.com/2012/08/25/3478632/tim-tebow-cam-newton-different.html

Quote :
"Former Jets quarterback Boomer Esiason caused a stir this month by suggesting on his radio show that the Jets cut Tebow.

Tebow’s response?

“I’ve heard nothing but great things about Mr. Esiason,” he said. “I wish him nothing but the best in his announcing. God bless him.”"

Quote :
"Panthers defensive end Eric Norwood, who faced Tebow every year when Norwood played at South Carolina, said Tebow’s “aw-shucks” personality extends to the field, as well. Norwood smiled when recalling Tebow’s version of trash-talking.

“He’d say stuff like, ‘You’re not going to hit me this time, Eric.’"

That gif is out of context.

There was a kid with cancer in the 4th row, and it's clearly more important to spread the light of God's love by having him catch a real NFL pass than to win a meaningless preseason game.

The Jags have got to be trying to sign him. If they don't, they are a bunch of clowns. Tebow could put butts in the seats in Jacksonville. Does not matter if he plays or not. The UF redneck fans of NE Florida will flock to Jag games just watch him ride the pine.

I just don't see why he won't just give in and play RB/FB

He runs the ball on more than half of his "QB" plays anyhow

What other players in recent memory have been heisman/National Championship caliber in college and flopped in the NFL?

Crouch
Jason White
Leinart
JaMarcus Russell

basically. tim tebow is a terrible qb and any NFL team would be retarded to sign him.

His completion percentage is garbage, but I wonder what his W/L % as a starting QB ranking is for QBs in their for 3 years?

Well his is 10-8, so I'm assuming there are hundreds of them with a better percentage than that.

dan patrick had two fantastic stats of the day today.

1. 16 of the past heisman trophy winners were quarterbacks. only one has won an nfl playoff game: tim tebow.

2. curtis martin has two career touchdown passes with the jets. tomlinson has one. tim tebow has zero.

Any of the 32 NFL teams would love to have Tebow on their roster. He is a quality special teamer. If the punter is the franchise quarterback, he's the left tackle of special teams.

LOL wtf are you talking about? Have you ever even been to northeast Florida? I went to high school in NE FL and my parents still live near Jacksonville. UF has a huge loyal redneck following. Ever been to Gainesville? I assume not. That place is redneck heaven with the UF campus sitting in the middle.

The only fan bases I've seen with as many trashy fans are South Carolina and Georgia, maybe Tennessee. I haven't spent much time in Alabama or Mississippi so I while I am sure the fans there are just as bad, I cannot make a personal comment on them. The other schools I have first hand experience with by living in their state or spending a lot of time working in their state.

you guys are hilarious. I am in grad school at UF and calling our fans redneck compared to FSU is about the most comical thing I have read on here in a while. calling out someone for not being in Florida, well then call me out...uh uh uh WHOOOPS. Every school has redneck fans, but ours isn't even close to the level that even UNC reaches.

^^ LOL. So you are actually on the campus and have been to sporting events at UF and you don't see the redneck following? Have you actually gotten into a car and drove 15 minutes outside of the campus? Still haven't see the redneck following?

Yeah FSU has redneck fans too, but UF has an insane amount and I have seen it over 15+ years of living and visiting the Jacksonville and Gainesville areas. Hell my two best buds from high school both went to UF so I am willing to wager that I have been to more UF sporting events than anyone on this board.

Its similar to UNC in that you won't see the rednecks on campus. It's not like State that has ag and turf field majors that actually puts the rednecks in the classroom. Florida's white lowlifes all root for the Gators (the blacks are Hurricane fans).

UF has agriculture majors. They are the land grant university in Florida. I went there for some contests while I was at state. Also they were my fourth college choice.

Know your shit, son.
(Also there are a shit ton of rednecks there)
