chiming in late, but worth posting: the new technique is go as high as you can go on the leg. As a result of the wars, we now have a pretty good grasp on how to save as much as the leg as possible. Its better to go high and really clamp the femoral artery to prevent as much blood loss as possible. Wheelchair dude will probably lose more than can be saved anyways. I don’t like sharpshooting guys doing their best, at least someone had their whits about them to get something on in the first 2 mins.

**I remember now, the artery can shoot back up the leg like a rubber band. Clamping low can run a risk of not really stopping blood loss like you intend.

The pressure cooker thing is very Iraq, not so much the 'stan, especially now since A) alot of them have been blown up and B) when we see them, we become suspicious and start to poke around. Bad guys don’t like that poking around business.

I support our our military like many others do. But lets not pretend that there aren't innocent lives lost on the other side too... I'm not saying its intentional, nor am I saying its done without orders. I'm saying that I don't consider the U.S. Military deranged, but injuries and the loss of innocent life still happens.

How do you think the woman in blue died? He lower extremities were completely shredded, so I'm thinking massive blood loss. I don't think she died instantly because in one of the pics she is seen with her arm wrapped around her friend and then she's on her back lifeless. I didn't see any wounds above her thighs that would cause immediate death. What a terrible way to go. And for the pics to be on the Internet, if that we're my sister and I saw hEr moment of death it wouldn't be good.

Heard it was cardiac arrest, so blood loss could very well be the reason for that.
