I think it was more moving in the fact that UNC canceled a bunch of classes this week which allowed UNC'S Athletes to experience the old "Carolina Way" before a big game.

So what are Lacey's chances of making first team all ACC? I see three locks for first team and the final two spots will be interesting:

Okafor - obvious POY too, but I think Grant is more deserving
Christmas
Grant

Most likely:
Harrell maybe Johnson or Meeks but they probably cancel each other out.

Last spot:
Hanlan leads the ACC in scoring, Lacey, Paige purely due to baby blue media bias as his shooting has been atrocious, Quinn Cook, Rozier, maybe Tyus Jones. Lacey has a good argument in that group but Cook or Rozier probably get it.

I don't know how you a first team nod to Brogdon, Paige or Rozier when all three of them are shooting ~43% at best (and none of the three are exactly lighting it up from 3). Both Brogdon and Rozier have had as sub-40% games more often than not in conference play. Paige's assists are the biggest supporting factor any of them have, and he's like 7th or so in the league.

If Lacey keeps playing at roughly the same level and doesn't get at least 3rd team, he's getting robbed

point #2) he is the best player on the best team in the ACC and the 2nd best team in the nation. that earns you some serious votes right there

oh yeah, sorry, i was mostly referring to the coach's selections. the media team always seems to have a few questionable calls. i don't think he's been head and shoulders above Justin Anderson for much of the year, but Anderson being out is going to keep him from getting many votes. but i do agree that being the top team will likely get each of them more votes than they would have otherwise.

What's funny is the Louisville fans thinking they had a shot at the Final Four with him on the team.

^If the matchups fell right they could. or if they got extremely hot at the right time. But that team is not good enough for the Final Four. Harrell, while good, is not a dominant big man. They've got some length, but they're not playing big right now. They don't have enough outside shooting. Their half court defense leaves a good bit to be desired. If they're not getting turnovers with their full court pressure, they struggle to score.

That Chris Jones thing is weird as well. Suspended indefinitely......misses 1 game and returns to play one game.....dismissed from team.

I totally overlooked the UVA guys as they don't show up in the stats since they play that slow tempo style. Yeah Brogdon or Anderson will likely be 1st team just as a nod to UVAs great season.
